The college doesn't provide a good way for internships and also, the branches like chemical and metallurgy have a very low placement ratio.

Good campus overall.
Placements: We are recently enrolled in this course. Our batch is good, although there are some great-minded students who work really hard for their future endeavors. There were 104% placement offers last year. Top recruits were Vedanta and L&T. The internship percentage is also high; it is about 95%. Top roles were sales manager and executors.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not so good. Most of the buildings are under construction. The mega hostel is under construction. The auditorium is also not completed yet. Classrooms and labs are good, although the food quality in the mess is like the other hostels—just average food. Canteen food is good. Medical facilities are good, with X-ray machines, a physio center, and a medical consultant available all the time. Sports grounds are so good. You can play by yourself, but you can't think about the inter-NIT competition and all that.
Faculty: All teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. Most of them have done their higher education at renowned institutes in our country. They deliver their content to students in a good way. They also teach students to get ready for social developments. Semester exams are difficult if you do not study regularly. Most of the students passed, but some of them have backlogs in specific courses.
Other: I feel like there is some great scope in the chemical industry because some limited colleges are tutoring this course. As the technology industry is booming, the chemical industry is also rising. We can see improvement in many aspects, like they can have advanced labs for department students. They should get good outside exposure. Events and fests are below average, so just keep your expectations very low and enjoy them. The airport is 20 km away from the campus. The surroundings are so beautiful. You'll get scholarships, although extracurricular activities are there, they don't have proper infrastructure to conduct them, so it doesn't make sense at all.

Decent infrastructure with all facilities.
Placements: Good opportunities exist for hardworking students and decent ones for others. All the tech giants like Infosys, Amazon, etc., come here to recruit students for tech jobs, and PSUs like BHEL, IOCL, etc., come here to recruit core branch students. The college gives many opportunities.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi has decent speed and the library has the latest books with good facilities. Mess food is above average compared to other NITs. First-year students get a 5-seater room with bunk beds. Rooms are warm in winter, especially on the ground floor. The hostel lacks CCTV cameras.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified with deep knowledge about their subjects, but some teachers don't know how to teach. They have a different accent of English compared to other parts of India, but you can understand them as the teachers also explain in both English and Hindi.

Review of NIT Srinagar - National Institute of Technology
Placements: Placements are quite poor, mostly with IT companies and a few core companies. If I don't receive any placements, I planned to write the GATE exam for my branch, as the competition is very low. I would suggest this for students pursuing my branch.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are in very bad condition in our college. The food in the mess is okay. During the admission process, they will ask if one is a day scholar or hostel student, and request Rs. 25,000 registration process. For the third year, one will be allotted a separate room.
Faculty: For first year, faculty, they are good, but it will be difficult for students who don't know Hindi, as they will teach in Hindi only. I would recommend this for students who know Hindi. Curriculum is very old, and academic teachers tend to favor local students.
Other: I wanted to do a degree in a branch no one mostly chose. I have an interest in Chemistry so I opted it.

NIT Srinagar is full of beauty, knowledge, personality development, and value for money.
Placements: Placement is not that good. 16 to 20% of students got placements. You can go for competitive exams. 800000 is the highest package and 200000 is the lowest package every year. Very few students, that is, 12%, got internships. ONGC was the top recruiting company here.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very beautiful. As we know, among all the NITs, NIT Srinagar has the most beautiful campus. All basic facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and libraries are in very good condition. Mess food is moderate but it could be tastier. We have canteens, medical facilities, sports and games, which are good enough.
Faculty: All the teachers are Ph.D. holders from renowned institutions. They teach the unit in very deep and also give some extra knowledge. The course curriculum is to the point and relevant. Students passed out from here have gone to many great fields. The semester exams are not that tough and have quality questions.
Other: We celebrate all the festivals with fun and joy. Fests could be better. Mess food also could be tastier. By taking graduation from here, you can also visit many tourist places and explore the heavens on earth.

Good facilities. Good faculty members. Great food.
Placements: Approximately 30% of students are placed in the core chemical engineering field. And approximately 20% of students are placed in its sectors. The highest package for chemical engineering is 20 LPA. The lowest package is 4 LPA. The average package is 8-9 LPA for the chemical engineering field. Top recruiting companies are Vedanta, Tata Steel, Coal India, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and internet facilities are very good in labs and department buildings, but Wi-Fi speed is very slow in hostels. Mess food is awesome— great food, great taste in mess. Food quality is very good. Medical facilities are also very great; they treat you so well. Sports and games are good, and you can play any games and sports you want.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good, but there is some scope for improvement. The course and curriculum are relevant to the industry, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not so difficult if you studied well. But the questions are thought-provoking. The pass percentage is good, approximately 80-85% of students passed in the semester exams.
Other: Campus crowd is good. Surroundings are very good. Sports are very good. But some scope of improvement is needed for events and extracurricular activities.

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately.
