A:

For Panjab University admission 2024, the university conducts multiple entrance exams such as PUMET, PUCET, PGLAW, PUMEET, PU UGLAW, PU MPhil and PhD Entrance Test, among others, for admission to its UG, PG and doctoral-level courses. However, candidates can reach out to the admission office to understand if there are any seats available to PU programmes for direct admission. Q:   Is Punjab University under CUET?

A:

Yes, Punjab University is under CUET. All postgraduate courses at Central University of Punjab, including the M.Ed., require CUET PG. If you have not taken the CUET PG, the university will not evaluate your application for admission.

A national level entrance test for postgraduate programs in India is called the Common University Entrance Test (CUET PG). The National Testing Agency (NTA) is in charge of conducting it. The test consists of three portions and is based on multiple-choice questions:

Subject-specific Test (SST) and General Test (GAT)
WAT: Writing Ability Test
The GAT part evaluates the candidate's aptitude and general knowledge. The SST portion assesses the candidate's familiarity with the field of study they intend to pursue. A candidate's writing abilities are evaluated in the WAT portion.

Admission to postgraduate programs at Central University of Punjab is entirely based on performance in the CUET PG exam. Your other academic credentials, such as the grades you earned in your bachelor's degree, won't be taken into account by the university for admission.

Q:   Is M.A. at Panjab University worth the investment?

A:
{Source: M.A. students & alumni}

After analyzing the feedback from current students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Pros:

* Good faculty: Many students praised the professors' qualifications, knowledge, and approachability.
* Well-structured course curriculum: The curriculum is relevant, and students appreciate the theoretical foundations.
* Infrastructure and amenities: The campus is well-maintained, with decent facilities, including a library, gym, and recreational spaces.
* Exposure to various activities: The university offers various extracurricular activities, festivals, and events, allowing students to explore their interests.

Cons:

* Placement record: The placement rate is relatively low, and many students rely on self-effort or pursuing higher education (e.g., NET or Ph.D.) for career advancement.
* Limited industry connections: The university's ties with industries seem limited, resulting in fewer job opportunities for students.
* Research-oriented internships: While some internships are available, they tend to be research-focused rather than corporate-driven, limiting practical experience.
* Academic intensity: Some students felt that the course load was too heavy, with little scope for hands-on learning or industry application.

In conclusion, whether M.A. at Panjab University is worth the investment depends on individual goals and expectations. For those seeking a strong academic foundation and theoretical knowledge, the university seems suitable. However, for those looking for direct industry exposure, job guarantees, or extensive career opportunities, they may need to supplement their degree with additional efforts or consider alternative options.

Recommendation: If you're considering the M.A. programme at Panjab University, weigh the pros and cons carefully, focusing on your academic and career aspirations. Consider networking with faculty and peers, exploring extracurricular activities, and developing transferable skills to enhance your prospects.

Q:   Is M.Sc. at Panjab University worth the investment?

A:
{Source: M.Sc. students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from current students and alumni, here's an analysis of whether an M.Sc. degree from Panjab University is worth the investment:

Academics and Faculty

* The faculty members are generally considered helpful, experienced, and knowledgeable in their respective fields.
* The course curriculum is relevant and covers both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject.
* Some students mentioned that the professors could be more punctual and humble.

Infrastructure and Facilities

* The university has modern facilities, including Wi-Fi, libraries, and well-equipped labs.
* The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, and the libraries have a wide range of book collections.
* However, some students pointed out that the hostel facilities could be improved.

Career Prospects and Placements

* Unfortunately, placements for M.Sc. students are limited, especially in the biophysics, biochemistry, and microbiology departments.
* Most students reported having to rely on self-initiated efforts to secure internships or employment opportunities.
* Some companies may visit the campus for recruitments, but these are rare.

Other Aspects

* Campus life is lively, with regular cultural fests and events organized by the university.
* Student organizations and clubs cater to various interests, fostering a sense of community.
* However, some students felt that the emphasis on education over extracurricular activities could be improved.

In conclusion, while Panjab University offers a strong educational foundation and supportive faculty, the career prospects and placement opportunities for M.Sc. students are somewhat limited. Therefore, students considering investing in an M.Sc. programme at Panjab University must weigh the pros and cons carefully, taking into account their individual goals and aspirations.

* Strong academics and faculty support
* Limited career prospects and placement opportunities
* Good infrastructure and facilities
* Vibrant campus life with regular events and activities

Review of Panjab University.
Placements: Placements in the college are a bit slow but good. The number of placement through campus is low. The annual salary package offered is about 3-4 LPA. Domestic and international companies visit the campus for placements. As PU is ranked 3rd, hope the placement cell increases the number of interviews on the campus and different departments of PU.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is excellent with all the facilities. The college building is good, neat and clean with all faculty members. Facilities like a library, Wi-Fi, parking, cafe, Wi-Fi, a 24-hour library, 24x7 security, hostel facilities, mess, etc., are available here. Overall I would rate 5 out of 5 for the infrastructure as PU is ranked 3rd in all over India.
Faculty: I would rate 5 out of 5 for faculty and extracurricular activities. They offer creative ideas and innovative guidance. They are very supportive. They share their experiences, studies and experiments with students to boost them up. There is no need to think twice. Overall faculty and curriculum are good.
Other: The college is worth studying. It is an innovative place where ideas come true. There are international collaboration and international placements. Scholarships are available for needy students. Celebrities are invited to different occasions and activities organised by the department.

Panjabi University's student but regretting not having been gone to Delhi University.
Placements: The exposure is great, but there is no convocation so that there are fewer chances for the placement. You need to step outside India or at least to Delhi University. If you get admission for B.Com in Delhi University, go for it(whether it's any of college). There is a little scope for commerce in Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not bad but not even good. It compromises of no activities. The rooms are small, and they are badly built. The fee is less. The library is good, and it's well-built. The food at the hostel is nominal as well as good. Stu C is an awesome place for food as well prices are nominal.
Faculty: The faculty members are good if there are senior and experienced teachers, but new or practising faculty members are not good. But it depends more on aptitude because here no one will spoon feed you. It depends on your ability, work, and what you score. But go to Delhi University.
Other: The events and fests are good if you participate, but because of the low budget, the famous people are not invited. There is a good prospect if you want to go for teaching line in PhD or else. It's good over here if you have such skills.

The college is good, and I have a nice experience in the college.
Placements: They can place many students in Paytm, King's export, Vardhman etc., and much more placements. The college does well for the students. They have good experience other than previous colleges because of cohead college is much better than boys or girls college. I recommend all college to go for cohead system. It is much better for all our youth generation. The college name is Kamla Lohtia SD College, Ludhiana, Punjab affiliated to PU Chandigarh.
Infrastructure: There is a good canteen, neat and good food is available. The College was fully Neat and clean Greenish environment there. There is a problem with office staff because of the shortage of people. There is a huge line of clearance day.
Faculty: The teaching quality is amazing. The faculty are much experienced and well-qualified. They have a good command of the students. The faculty encourages the students for the overall development.
Other: NSS camp there and sports day is much better. They organise donation camp by MEFB student and consumer hub by PGDIB.

Punjab government should pay attention towards this university.
Placements: There are no placements in this college, once you finish your exams and pass out the college you will have to find a job by yourself only, and it is a difficult task as the jobs offered are of very low remunerations. This is what I’ve heard from the students who are passed the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is obsolete as it is a government college everything is old and dusty. The condition of the classrooms is so poor that it is a difficult task to sit over them as they are about 20 years old or above. The buildings are even older and very less maintained even it is a huge campus.
Faculty: The faculty is not helpful just as the typical government bank employees don’t care whether you’re listening to them or not they’ll just come to class and give lectures and just finish their duties. They’re least bothered about students even it is their main responsibility.

There is nothing in this world like PU
Placements: There is no such thing I have heard of like campus placements in our college. We were given a practical exposure in the training period and the college is very good. Getting admission here was a big thing and we are looking for our great future. I pray to god for my great future.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the university is super good. You can find many things to enjoy here. Hostels here are very good no strictness on the part from the warden and all. We have all necessary things such as a student center, a library and stationery shops at our department's doorstep.
Faculty: Teachers here are very good. They teach with full passion and are very dedicated towards their profession. They are ready for solving our doubts and queries. They are excellent in their subject and really have excess knowledge about the same. Also in extracurricular activities, they support us.

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.
