SNU Chennai BTech admissions are open for the academic year 2024-25. The admission process for BTech starts with the registration for SNUCEE, which is conducted in three phases. As per the official sources, the total tuition fee of the BTech course offered at SNU Chennai is INR 12 lakh. The total fee will include a refundable caution deposit (one-time) & admission fee (one-time) payable at the time of admission as well. Hostel, mess, and transport charges will be applicable only for the students availing these facilities. Hence, the final fee for each student shall vary at the time of admission.

The University has not disclosed the 2022 placement details for BTech. However, the NIRF report 2023 is released, which incorporates the combined placement data for UG (4-year) courses for both Chennai and Delhi NCR campuses. Yes, SNU Chennai has merit-cum-means scholarships for first-generation/non-first-generation learners with an annual family income of INR 3 lakhs or below. As part of the scholarship, they get a fee waiver of 50% to 75% on their tuition fee. To be eligible for the scholarship a candidate has to pass both the SNUCEE entrance exam and the personal interview round.

In addition to that SNU Chennai also offers 10 scholarships for Class 12 rank holders of any State or Central Board and sports scholarships for candidates who have participated in National and international level competitions.

SNU Chennai offers three specializations under the four-year BTech course. These are Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AI&DS), Computer Science & Engineering- Internet of Things (IoT), and Cyber Security (CSE). Admission to all these courses are done through a common admission process. Candidates are selected based on a valid SNUCEE score, followed by a PI round.

The percentage required for admission to various courses depends on the course selected by the students. For the undergraduate courses Class 12 with a minimum of 45%-75% aggregate is accepted by the university along with the various entrance exam scores.
