However, as per the official statistics, a year-on-year increase was observed in the total offers made from 2021 to 2023 drives. Likewise, an improving trend was recorded in the total number of students placed over the past three years. The total number of offers increased by nearly 39% from 2021 to 2022 and then further increased slightly from 2022 to 2023. On the other hand, the number of students placed increased by almost 31% from 2021 to 2022 and then increased by nearly 11% from 2022 to 2023.

Thapar University offers four-year full-time BE/BTech courses at the undergraduate level. Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology admission to all the BE/BTech courses is based on candidates' performance in the JEE Main entrance exam except BTech in Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering. TIET BTech admission to Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering is based on valid NEET 2023 marks, followed by a counselling process. TIET 50% of the seats will be filled basis of NEET scores and the rest 50% of the seats shall be filled on the basis of merit of marks obtained in Class 12 or equivalent examination in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Chemistry and, Biology.
