Thapar University: A glimpse.

Placements: The placements for 2015 were pretty decent. The core companies included Siemens, roots analysis including some IT forms as well. The package ranged 4 -10lpa. Nearly 80% of the biotech batch got placed on campus. The highest package was offered by Future first (analyst role)10lpa while the lowest being Infosys 4 LPA. The batch also saw few startups like Practo, autoninja offering 6-7lpa. Siemens and root analysis also came for internship offering a stipend of 20000pm and 10000 pm. Be prepared wit...

Decent placements but high fees.

Placements: Placements are good gor branches like Computer, Mechanical and Electronics with average package around 6 lac. But in other branches most students are placed in mass recruiters or startups with package less than 5 lac pa. For biotechnology, placements are very bad.

A good campus life coupled with decent placements.

Placements: The placements were decent, but most of the students got placed in IT firms and startups. In other words, the number of core companies was very less like Reliance Industries Ltd., VVF, Bhushan Steel to name a few. The internships scenario is not very good as only toppers get placed through the college in companies like UOP, and others have to manage on their own.

The infrastructure is undoubtedly excellent.

Placements: Placements at Thapar University was exceptionally well but since the number of students has doubled after 2013-17 batch, I can't really comment on it anymore. For mechatronics engineering, my batch was the second batch and we did well when it comes to placements. Almost 25 students got placed out of 34. Placements for branches like Civil and ECE are not up to the mark. There are only a few companies for these branches.

Thapar University review on infrastructure, faculty, and placements.

Placements: The placements are good for our seniors, but as there are a lot of students in our year, some problems do occur during the placements. As the strength increases, obviously, the competition also increases. The percentage of placements right now is 98%, but it is expected to drop a little bit. The number of companies visiting Thapar is more than 250, out of which, many are high profile companies like Microsoft, Facebook, Google, JP Morgan, etc.

Over Crowded yet beautiful.

Placements: As per my senior batch, The placements were good with branches like Computer Science, electronics getting placed at a decent package, and the other branches suffered a bit. I have yet to appear for placements. The percentage of student placed varies with the branch. For CS E it is above 85 % and for other branches it is slightly on the lower side. The highest package that I have heard is around 25 from companies like de shaw, walmart. The lowest package from what I believe is 3.25 from infosys, ...

A good college to study precious four years, if parents can spend more than 4 lacs per annum on you.

Placements: The placements of TIET are average. This year, in COE batch, only the average students are placed with a package of 7 to 8 LPA. A few of my seniors hit a good package stats at 38 LPA. There is a placement cell, which is continuously working towards the aim. The statistical data in 2017-18 are the companies visited the campus is more than 265, and the students placed in single as well as multiple offers are more than 772. The internships offered to the students are more than 313.

There are good faculty. The course is useful in clearing GATE and other government exams.

Placements: Placement for bright students is good, but average or below average students suffer. Companies prefer the students having extra knowledge beyond the subjects, and they also see the practical knowledge of the student. A student with more number of certificates in extra activities is preferred in the same CG range.

Thapar is a good place to study in. The only reason I am not satisfied here is food.

Placements: I am in my 2nd year, and my seniors just got placed. Honestly, the placements are good, and you always have a very good chance of getting placed because TIET gives you a very good exposure of non- tech through societies and the faculty involved in placement drives is doing everything in favour of students, being it tie-ups or inviting more companies to the campus. You can expect an average package of 6-7 LPA, if you are an average and not so hard working guy, but with a good mind.

The college has average faculty, good infrastructure and placements.

Placements: As far as I know, the placements in Thapar have been good for a long time. Especially in the computer branch, the average salary package offered was around 7 LPA. Even in other branches like mechanical and electronic and communication, Thapar is not disappointing the students.

Second best private engineering college after BITS in India.

Placements: Placements are good for branches like mechanical and computer Science. For other branches placements do not meet expectations. Average package is around 6 Lacs and the highest salary is around 30 Lacs. The return on investment is low as fees is high. Although the reputation of college is quite good. For branches like civil and chemical, placements are unsatisfactory.

A review of Thapar University.

Placements: The placements for the previous session were pretty good. Many companies with the dream status like JP Morgan Chase, Arcesium, DE Shaw, etc. recruited students from the college with the highest package being 33 LPA. Many PPOs were also seen for almost all the branches with the placements of civil engineering being a little on the lower side. For computer engineering, the average package was nearly 8-9 LPA, and for other branches, it was around 5-6 LPA. All in all, the placements were pretty good...

The college is good in sense of teachers. The most negative thing in the college is the bad smell.

Placements: Thies year, the placements in the college were better than last year. The companies that came were mainly pool campus. In 2016-18 batch, about 65% of the students got placed. The average package offered is around 4 to 5 Lacs. The companies like Nestle, MRF, Edwisor, Batchel, Click Labs, etc., came to the campus. 85% of the roles offered were sales executive.

Satisfied with the teaching quality, but not with total money spent and with class timings.

Placements: Here for the mechanical, placements are decent. Tata has signed an agreement to take a larger number of students from this college. Also, including the project semester, there are 6 semesters for the mechanical. Now, there is going to be the 7th semester also which means that they give choices for the project semester, which results in higher placements.

Absolutely satisfied with everything about thapar.

Placements: Thapar has a very good record when it comes to placements. Almost 80 percent of its students get placement offers from companies around the globe that include big names like Samsung, Microsoft, Google, Whirlpool, Schneider Electric etc. Students are offered jobs related to their field as well as different job profiles like marketing are also offered.

Overall, Thapar is a good college.

Placements: Placements here are good, but students keep on increasing every year, so it definitely affects placements here. Only the deserving students with a good CGPA or a good skill can get placed here. Otherwise, I don't think so. But, mediocre students will be getting placed here in the coming years.

Thapar University good or worse it depends on how you choose to b in there.

Placements: If you have 7 CG then there is 90% chances of getting placement. With max packages of 30-36 Lacs to AVG 4 Lacs and minimum 3 Lacs approximately. Dream companies like Microsoft SanDisk also come for recruitment. 80-100% placement guaranteed. With some technical as well as some consultancy companies also come for recruitment. But with number of seats increasing for admission competition is getting high for placement. You better be good in either technical or communication skills.

Placements: Placements in our college were good. The college also provides international placements. Diverse companies visit our campus and offer jobs in every field of management. The average salary package offered ranges between 5-8 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 25 LPA. The best college for the students with average marks.

Placements: The institute is trying its best to get each and every student placed, but as the student intake is increasing, the placement scenario is not so stable to be relied upon. Our senior batch's average package was of 6 LPA with 95% placement rate. Training scenario still needs to be improved as only students with CG of 8 and above are able to get that.

Placements: The placements have never been a problem for Thapar. COE students get placed with nice packages. The average package is usually around 7-9 lacs per annum with the highest being around 35 lacs per annum and the lowest about 3-4 lacs per annum. Many MNCs come here and recruit the students.
