NEET Form Fees for General
The NEET form fee for General is INR 1,700. The amount is the same for NRI or Non-Resident Indian candidates as well. In the last few years, when the exam was held in cities outside India as well, where the NRI or foreign nationals had to pay a higher fee of INR 9,500. This year, NEET 2024 exam centres are in India only.
Q: Do I have to pay a correction fee for making changes to the NEET application form?
No, there is no fee associated with the NEET application correction process, unless candidates update their category which may impacte the application fee. The additional fee has to be paid through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI and Paytm. In case candidates change their category, they must upload the requisite category certificate. According to NTA, 24,02,774 candidates registered for NEET 2024, out of which 23,30,390 candidates appeared for the exam. Out of this, over 10 lakh candidates were male and over 13 lakh candidates were female. This is the highest number of applications so far. As compared to NEET 2023, there was an increase of approximately 14 per cent in the number of applicants. Uttar Pradesh was the state with the highest number of NEET 2024 applications followed by Maharashtra and Rajasthan. On the other hand, Delhi was the city with the highest number of exam city preference.
The NEET form fee for the General Economically Weaker Section (EWS) or General-EWS category is INR 1,600. This is INR 100 less than the NEET form fees for General category candidates.
NEET Form Fees for OBC
The NEET form fee for OBC is INR 1,600. The category for NEET Other Backward Classes Non-Creamy Layer or OBC-NCL, along with the General-EWS category has a fee which is INR 100 less than the NEET form fee for General.
NEET Form Fees SC, ST and Other Reserved Categories
The NEET form fees for SC or the Scheduled Caste and other reserved categories such as Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons WIth Benchmark Disability (PWBD) and Third Gender is INR 1,000. This category has the lowest NEET form fee amount.
Candidates must note that the NEET form fee mentioned above is devoid of the GST or other taxes. While paying the NEET 2024 application fee, candidates will have to pay the amount which is prompted by the server.

Yes, NTA reopened the NEET 2024 application window on April 9, 2024. The last date to register and apply for the exam was April 10, 2024, by 10.50 PM. On the other hand, the last date of paying the NEET 2024 application fee was 11.50 PM on the same date. Announcing the reopening of the NEET 2024 registration and application process, NTA had stated, “We have received various representations from stakeholders with a request to re-open the registration window of NEET-UG 2024. Based on the representation, it has been decided to re-open the Registration window of NEET-UG 2024." NTA has also added, "Candidates should note that this is a one-time opportunity, so they are advised to use it carefully as no further chance will be given for applying for NEET (UG) - 2024. Yes, there is a high chance of NTA to extend the last date of NEET 2025 application form submission. As per past years' trends, NTA extends or reopens the NEET application window every year, either as a response to student requests or due to some external factors such as server errors or non-functioanlity of exam website. However, candidates are advised not to wait till the last minute, or wait for the extension of application last date, and complete the process at the earliest possible.

NTA is likely to open the NEET 2025 application correction window in the second week of April 2025. The duration of NEET application correction is generally of two to three days. The application correction window is available only for candidates who will complete the NEET 2024 application process by paying the application fee. There are specific fields which will be available for edit and the rest of the fields will be uneditable, for both Aadhaar verified and Aadhaar non-verified candidates. Prior to starting the correction process, candidates have to check the list carefully and then proceed. There will not be an additional fee required for availing the NEET application correction facility unless there was a change of category impacting the application fee amount.

Since the NEET 2024 application form process is completely online, applicants have to pay the NEET form fee in online mode only. The modes of payment are given below:
