More than 200 companies visited our campus, and more than 80% of the students from our batch got placed. A lot of companies not only offered jobs for students but also offered them a six-month internship.

Great faculty and placements but slowly on a decline.

Placements: Placements for B.E Computer Science batch of 2013-2017 and 2012-2016 were pretty great with almost all students grabbing an offer or two. Some of the students didn't appear for placements for some personal reasons (Opted for higher studies, etc.). Different MNCs and startups (such as Amazon, Informatica, DE Shaw, Deloitte Zomato, etc.). Visited the campus for the roles of Software Developer/Tested, Business/Data analysts, Consultants, with the average CTC being around 6 LPA and the highest CTC b...

Review of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: Placements for CSE have been great. The highest package offered was up to 7 LPA. Most of the companies recruited students for core profiles. It is not the same case for other branches such as EIC, ELE and many other branches, and the students struggle to get placed. Else, they have to pursue a career in non-core fields.

Review of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: The college provides pretty decent placements. Students from B.Tech course have more opportunities of getting placed as compared to biotechnology. Since biotech is an emerging field and there are very few industries or job opportunities in the country. However, few organisations visit the campus for placements of biotechnology students. Apart from job placements, internships are also provided on campus.

Review of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: Placements were less for our batch as very few core companies (related to our discipline) visited the campus for our placements. Moreover, some of the students in our batch were interested more in government jobs and higher studies. That's one of the reasons why placements for our batch were low.

The college provides good infrastructure and placements, but everyone can't afford this college.

Placements: Placements in our college are very good. The average salary package offered is 8-10 LPA for the core branches. Mechanical stream also has a good placement record. Even the eligibility criteria for placement is at least 75% in academics, which is good. Then only you can attend the placement drives and get a higher salary package. The salary packages offered are average for the rest of the streams.
