I had a decent experience in this college. It helped me bag my first job.
Placements: Almost 80% of the students from my batch were placed in different companies like Cognizant, IBM, Infosys and TCS. One guy from our batch bagged an internship in Microsoft and got it converted to a permanent position. The average salary package offered for our batch was around Rs. 3.20 LPA. The highest salary offer being Rs. 15 LPA and the lowest offer being Rs. 2 LPA. The students from the electrical branch had difficulty getting placed as the core companies did not visit our campus. The placement cell of the college is quite good, and they conduct several training sessions for the students to help them with the placements. Some of these training sessions are paid ones but worth it. Overall, I had a positive experience with respect to the placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure during my time (2010-2014) was not that good. The classrooms did not have AC. Only the computer labs and the library had AC. There is no playground as such inside the campus. There are two separate TT and carrom boards in boys' and girls' common rooms. The quality, price and quantity of the food available in the canteen were good. I have heard that the infrastructure has improved a lot since we left the college.
Faculty: The computer science faculty are quite good. Some of them have amazing teaching methods using slides and videos rather than just reading out from the course books. DBMS and java faculty are the best. The teachers are always ready to help out the students with any queries.
