Honest Look at College Life and Learning.
Placements: Almost 100% of students are placed in the college. Companies like Vedanta, TCS, Aditya Birla Group, Hitachi, JSW, and many others come to the college. The highest package was 16 LPA, the lowest was 4 LPA, and the average is about 4–5 LPA. Internship offers are also available, like the BITSAA internship, TATA STEEL internship, and Siemens internship, among others.
Infrastructure: Separate hostels are provided for girls and boys. Each hostel has a separate mess. A gym is also available. The girls' gym is in the girls' hostel, and the boys' gym is on the club grounds. A badminton court is available in the hostel. Wi-Fi is available in the library, department, and admin areas, and students can have their own Wi-Fi connections in the hostels. Every branch has its own building and department, with its labs and classes. A canteen is available on campus, where all kinds of food are available. A Nescafe is also there.
Faculty: The professors are very helpful, and their guidance and knowledge help us in many ways. Our course curriculum follows NEP 2020 and is relevant. In each semester, two mid-semester exams and one end-semester exam are held. The passing percentage is 40%, and 75% attendance is mandatory. Labs are important.
Other: Here, you will find a great connection with alumni. Many clubs help with technical growth and personality building. The college emphasizes students' personal development, which will help them in the future. Technical clubs include HnCC, ISTE, IETE, and the Model Club. There are many clubs for extracurricular activities, like the Arts Club, which focuses on expressing students' talents in dance, singing, and drama, and the Sports Club for students interested in sports. Many scholarships are available, like the Reliance Foundation, Siemens Scholarship, E-kalyan, Manki Munda Scholarship, and FFE. A tech fest is held every year. This year, our college celebrated its 75th anniversary, marking a tremendous journey and achievements. There was a grand celebration on the occasion of the platinum jubilee. BIT Sindri has a vast alumni network. Our alumni are accommodating, placed in very good companies, and successful.
The best part of my course is the electronics knowledge that I will gain. Semiconductor demand is increasing rapidly today. There are also government jobs available in my field. One can be placed in the PSU sector. My branch is versatile.

BIT SIDRI college life is a boon.
Placements: 1) 90% of our students get placed in reputed companies like Tata Steel, and the rest opt for higher studies or prepare for exams like GATE CAT, etc.
2) The highest package is 50 lakh+ LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA and the average of our ECE is 9 LPA.
3) Samsung, Microsoft, Tata Steel, Flipkart, Google, Yamaha, etc. are the top recruiters.
4) We don't get many opportunities for internships but at least 30% of our class got internships at TCS.
5) Software developer is the top role offered.
Infrastructure: 1) The facilities we get a lot in our department, which is full of AC rooms for labs and the condition of our lecture hall is not that good but overall, it's fine.
2) The quality of the mess food is good compared to any other hostel; medical facilities are also provided for free; and sports like cricket and football are also available.
Faculty: 1) The teachers are helpful for any needs and during exam time, they are the best mentors.
2) Yes, the course is relevant and has many opportunities.
3) The semester exams are not that tough; you can easily score above 8 CGPA if you have prepared well.
Other: Today, the IT sector is booming in every field and that's why I opted for this course. The best thing about this course is that you can either choose core or IT placements; that's up to you. The placements are good but overall, they should be better by the end of our college.
Events are conducted like code camps, the campus is green, you will get an auto for travel outside the gate itself, and scholarships are provided by the college.

My college life is interesting.
Placements: 90% of ECE students get placed. The highest salary is 28 Lacs LPA, the lowest is 6 Lacs LPA, and the average is 9 Lacs LPA. Companies like Tata Steel, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Samsung, Yamaha, etc., participate. 50% of students secure internships in software development, data analysis, etc.
Infrastructure: The overall classrooms are good, especially in IT where our classes are conducted. Wi-fi, clean rooms, mentors—all are good and will assist you in every way. The quality of the mess was good in the first 2-3 months, but it has deteriorated since then.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are helpful, Ph.D. holders, and knowledgeable enough to address our queries. The course is relevant as the IT sector is booming. Semester exams are not too tough; you can easily score above an 8 CGPA with proper preparation.
Other: I was more interested in innovation, which is why I opted for this course. Roads and the environment could be better. Only tech fests are organized; they should consider cultural fests too.

Placements: Our college provides good placements. About 80-90% of students are placed. In 2022, the highest salary package offered was 28 LPA by Google, and in 2023, the highest salary package offered is 16 LPA by Samsung. Top recruiting companies like Samsung, Google, etc., visit our campus. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA. About 70% of students get internships.
Infrastructure: Our college does not provide good infrastructure, but the CSE, IT, and ECE departments have good infrastructure. The hostel facilities are good. The new hostels are excellent. The quality of food in the mess and canteen is good. Medical facilities are available. Wi-Fi is not available in the hostel.
Faculty: Our teachers are excellent. They are helpful and cooperative. They help us with academics and other problems. Our teachers are M.Tech. and Ph.D. holders. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are held. Mid-term exams are relatively easy, and out of the two mid-term exams, the one in which you score the best is considered. On the other hand, the end-of-session exam is challenging, so it's essential to prepare well to obtain good marks.

Placements: Our college provides 100% placements for students. The salary packages depend on the students. The highest salary package offered is 44 LPA. The average salary package offered ranges between 7 LPA - 8 LPA. Students of CSE and IT branches got many placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very old. Hostels are old and are not in good condition. The cleanliness is not proper, but new hostels are good. Wi-Fi is not available in the hostel, and you need to buy it on your own. The food served in the hostel is edible. Canteen and sports are good.
Faculty: Some teachers are decent and helpful. The course curriculum is good. Semester exams are not difficult, and you can score well easily.
Other: Our college doesn't conduct fests and events on a large scale like other colleges.
