NIT Jamshedpur is widely known for its top placement from top companies.
Placements: Average package of production and industrial engineering is 12 LPA approximately. 97% of batchmates are placed, which is the highest among all NITs. Overall placement percentage is 93% during the recession period.
Infrastructure: Class is fully air conditioned. Mess is average, which is the same for all engineering colleges. Non-vegetarian students will really enjoy it. Our college has a well-equipped lab, classroom, and every book in the library that you want. Wi-Fi is available throughout the college.
Faculty: Yes, teachers were very helpful and supportive if you are a serious aspirant, and I think every teacher is well educated and qualified, and most of them are from top IITs and NITs. We have lab 4 days out of 7 days, and these leads are really efficient and make the student industrial-ready in his initial days of semester exams. Things will be tough, but as time passes, you will be well prepared.

The Overview of NIT Jamshedpur
Placements: The highest package is 22 LPA, the average package is 11 LPA, and the lowest package is 8 LPA. The placement rate is 97.61%. Top recruiting companies are Tata Motors, Tata Cummins, JSW, Tata Steel, and Vedanta. Above 90 percent of students received internship offers, especially for production and industrial engineering students. Roles include Graduate Engineer Trainee, Production Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, and Process Engineer.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure of production and industrial engineering department. There is free Wi-Fi for students in all places like classroom, hostel, library, etc. In the production and industrial engineering department, all machines are well kept and are in working condition. Labs are in good condition. Hostel is also in good condition, well painted, there is no problem with water, and the food is also good. We get breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner, with at least four non-veg meals a week, though sometimes the taste is not so good.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and all have doctorate degrees. They teach very well with live experiments. Yes, this curriculum is relevant for production and industrial engineering students because it makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are not too difficult; if you study properly, you can pass the exam. The pass percentage is 98%.
Other: I chose this course because its placement in Jamshedpur is excellent compared to other colleges, and my marks were also not good. I wish that AI and ML should be added to this course. There are always lots of events on campus, the fests are awesome, and the best fest is Culfest. There are lots of extracurricular activities in Jamshedpur, and you can play many more games.

Best college in terms of placements and extra exposure.
Placements: Best placement among top NITs. In 2023, the highest placement was 84 Lacs, not only for 1 student but around 6 students were placed in this amazing placement. The average placement rate of this institute is around 16 LPA, and the lowest branch secured better placement in comparison to other NITs.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure but improvements required. The infrastructure is good but quite old. Overall, the infrastructure is good; all essential required things are there. NIT Jamshedpur has a Diamond Jubilee Lecture Hall Complex, and it is fully centralized with AC classrooms.
Faculty: Best professors; world's top 2% are from NIT Jamshedpur. Some professors are quite awesome; they clear concepts like your JEE teacher and teach us from basic to advanced. Also, suggest some good, conceptually strong, and interesting books that will help us to get good marks in exams.

Incredible, authentic and excellent placement stats.
Placements: Placements have been one of the key highlights here at NIT Jamshedpur. For the 2020 batch, the placement of the college stands out at 93.76% and an average of 12.63 LPA, with each individual branch having a placement percentage above 90%. The key point to note is that this placement occurred during the recession period. Companies like Amazon and Atlassian came for the SDE role, while companies like Tata Motors and Vedanta arrived for the jobs in the core sector.
Infrastructure: The lecture hall complex at NIT Jamshedpur was recently constructed in the year 2020. All its classrooms are equipped with smart boards and air conditioning. The college has a central library where students can get Wi-Fi as well as a number of books to study. The labs are a bit old but they are being renovated. For boys, students get single rooms from the 2nd year, while 1st year students have to share double-seater rooms. Mess food is okayish. There are basketball and football grounds in some hostels, and there is a dispensary regarding medical issues faced by any student.
Faculty: Almost all the teachers at NIT Jamshedpur hold a Ph.D. degree, so they have a sound Educational background. The curriculum diversified into core subjects for each branch from the 2nd year. Regarding the exams, each semester has mid-semester and end-semester exams, with mid-semester having 30 marks and end-semester having 50 marks. The rest 20 are internals, which are taken in form of quizzes, assignments, etc. The grading done here is absolute and majority of the students pass their exam with papers generally leveling from easy to moderate.
