Disappointed college with good placement for me.
Placements: Students without a history of arrears and with a minimum percentage of 70 will be placed. The highest package in my department is 5LPA and the lowest package is 2.8 LPA. The top recruiters are ITW, Reliance, Besmark, Fanuc, an, Besmark, Fanuc, and L&T. The same applies to students without a history of arrears with an above 7 CGPA, who are working as interns in Valeo. Mostly, the roles are like marketing, design, production, and supervisor.
Infrastructure: Classroom and library atmosphere will be good. In labs, most of the equipment will not work. Highest qualifications of faculty are from M.Tech colleges. Faculty from testing centers and research centers are also provided. Some faculty are contract, and sometimes they provide guest faculty.
Faculty: As I already mentioned, faculty are with M.Tech qualification, and their teachings are also not so good to understand. Most of the time, they won't come to the class. Yes, my course, manufacturing engineering, is purely industry-based, and I make students ready for industry Pass mark is 50%, and semester exams are not so tough. We can self-study and self-prepare just 15 days before the exam.
Other: I chose this because a few colleges offer this course and have limited seats. Along with the degree, we need to concentrate on extra design courses. In my academics, they did not conduct any big events; just one symposium, that too they conducted like a small event, not a big chief guest, and program.

It is a good college for placements.
Placements: In our college, around 80% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 4.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies visit our campus. Some students do their internships at top reputed companies.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available. Classrooms are spacious. Projectors are available in classrooms. A small library is available. The quality of food in the hostel is average. A doctor is always available in the college and hostel for medical assistance. We have various sports clubs for cricket, football, volleyball, chess, etc.
Faculty: Our teachers are very talented and helpful. They are knowledgeable. You can ask any question without hesitation about your subject. In the first year, you learn basic engineering and then core subjects. Semester exams are conducted by Anna University because this college is affiliated with it. A CGPA of 7 to 7.5 is required to pass.
Other: I chose this course to gain some valuable knowledge about plastics. Our college organises a few events. You can participate in other college events. Our college is located in an industrial area. A nearby metro station is available.

Our college is excellent if you can learn and observe everything on your own.
Placements: In our college, almost 50% of students had been placed in our course. The highest salary offered was Rs. 50,000 per month and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 15,000 per month. Top recruiting companies like Welspun, ITC, Valeo, etc., visited our campus. No one got an internship in our course. The top role offered was a junior engineer.
Infrastructure: There was no Wi-Fi in our college but classrooms were very good and neat. The benches and tables were very comfortable. We had all the equipment in our lab. We had an industry running inside our campus so we could learn more. The hostel facility was good except for the food and the college ground was not so huge. Library facilities were very good and we had an e-library.
Faculty: Teachers were knowledgeable but classes won't be held often. We have to study on our own. Since we had very good lab facilities, it made students industry-ready. The pass percentage for every semester was 50%.
Other: This is one of the unique courses offered only at CIPET. There were no other colleges in Tamilnadu offering plastic technology and manufacturing engineering. The teaching should be improved by our faculty members and placements were quite average. Scholarships were provided.

Review of Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology, Chennai.
Placements: Students must score 8.0 CGPA to get placed. In our course, the minimum salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our college are Dow Chemicals, Newgen Engineering and Motherson. Students who score CGPA of about 8.0 will be offered a salary package of 4 LPA, and students who scored CGPA of less than 7 will be offered a salary package of 2.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, but the password is only given to faculty members. Our college provides well-equipped labs, digital library and advanced laboratory. Hostels are well-sanitised with very clean atmosphere. There is a private hospital clinic at our college, and our college also supports all sports.
Faculty: Our faculty members are well-knowledgeable and higher qualified. They have an experience of about a minimum of 3-4 years in other colleges. There is a peaceful environment to study, and it is the best place. All doubts are clarified.
Other: I have chosen this course because it is the best course in the automobile sector. In Tamil Nadu, there are only a few colleges which have this course.

In CIPET, you will acquire a lot of things if you utilise all the amenities.
Placements: Placements here are quite good. The placement cell strives hard to place all the students irrespective of their backlog. But the concern is core companies are not invited here for recruitment for the manufacturing department. Placements for plastic department students will be good every year in terms of both statistics and salary package.
Infrastructure: Facilities like ARSTPS and R&D wing are available within our campus. Moreover, every technical equipment and moulding machinery, CNC and EDM have been installed in our labs. Classrooms look good. There is an in-house medical aid room on our campus. One more concern is there is no playground for sports.
Faculty: Faculty members for the plastic department are well versed in their field. But compared to manufacture engineering, the student-faculty ratio is not that much good in the plastic engineering department. The course curriculum of Anna University has to be revised in terms of providing industrial exposure to the students, so there is no point in blaming our college for the course curriculum.
Other: Our college celebrates cultural fest named Cipofest and technical fest named TEPIC every year.

You probably can. If you could tell your category then it will be much easier to tell accurately that whether you will get it or not.
