A good institution with good infrastructure and placements.
Placements: 60 to 70 percent placement rate in our branch. The average package is around 6 Lacs rupees. In our branch, the top companies are L&T and Shobha. The course I am pursuing is really interesting. They teach us very well.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure. Buildings, classrooms, washrooms, and the campus are all really well-maintained. I have no idea how the hostels are maintained, as I do not stay there. But I have heard the hostels are also well-maintained and provide quite good food. The lab facilities are also good.
Faculty: Almost all the faculty members are really good, but a few faculty members do not really teach well. Generally, most of them are highly qualified. The curriculum is relevant to the course. The students are really trained well and made industry-ready. Semester exams are quite difficult, and the pass percentage is 40%.
Other: There are a lot of events taking place usually.

Absolutely satisfied with everything in the college.
Placements: Civil engineering industries don't hire many freshers directly from colleges. The placements in Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering are different, as it manages to place the students in well-reputed companies. I got placed in Lumiplan ITS India Pvt., Ltd. The highest package offered is 30 LPA to a computer science student, and I don't know about the packages in civil. 100% of students got internships, as it was a 2 credit subject.
Infrastructure: I think Dayananda Sagar College has the best infrastructure compared to many other engineering colleges as it has cricket, tennis, football, and basketball grounds and standings for viewers. The food and hostel facilities are far better than the others.
Faculty: The lecturers are very helpful. I would say some lecturers are friendly, and we could even call them after college hours and ask for help. The course curriculum is the best as they arrange atleast 2 events every semester. The way they conduct the exam is really tough. To pass the exam, you should atleast get 40%.
Other: I would like to say that joining here is the best decision of my life.

It is a place where life and career bloom.
Placements: Civil engineering students often have to face hard times when it comes to in-campus placement opportunities. But if the student is keen on introductory coding, then they have a very good chance of being recruited by IT companies. As of now, 5 out of 180 civil engineering students have been placed, all in IT companies. The highest package offered is 8 LPA, whereas the lowest stands at 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our labs is great. We are even provided with the college Wi-Fi that can be connected only on the laptop. I will deduct a star for the hostel as we need to stay with 3 other students in a small room. The food is great, however, North Indians may not like it on a few days.
Faculty: The faculty members are excellent, and they have plenty of knowledge to share. At times, non-Karnataka students may find it difficult to communicate, but they can go with the flow and make friends with locals to understand Kannada-English. The semester exams are quite tough, but if you study properly before exams, then everything will get easy.
Other: I chose this course as a base for my higher studies. Our college and our department conduct fests regularly throughout the academic year. The location of our college is very lively, and all the essentials can be found nearby.

I am not satisfied with civil branch teachers. But, there are good placements in other branches.
Placements: As Bangalore is called the Silicon Valley, you can't expect that civil companies will visit here and hire you. The civil department companies didn't visit, so to earn money, many of our batchmates got jobs in IT companies. The highest salary package offered was approximately 13 LPA and the average salary package offered was about 4 LPA-5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is just awesome. Classrooms and library are well maintained, but our college doesn't provide Wi-Fi facility. However, there are two hostels, and one is an NRI hostel, while the other one is Indian hostel. NRI hostel is good but Indian hostel is not good.
Faculty: Don't expect good faculty members in the civil department, and hardly you will find good faculty members. Even the HOD of the civil department is not that much cooperative. Don't expect that much from faculty members that they will make students industry-ready. Their teaching quality is average.
Other: I opted for civil engineering because I don't have other options. I suggest that our college should provide good faculty members and also placements in civil companies for our course. Other than that, many events are organised in this college.

It is the best college to choose for a student who wants to enjoy their college life.
Placements: About 15% of the students from the civil branch got placed. The highest salary package offered by a Japanese civil company is 21 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Top roles offered in our course include a project manager and senior engineer.
Infrastructure: The college has a good aesthetic view which is spread over an area of 28 acres. A Wi-Fi facility is available here. Hostel facilities are good with a cupboard for each member of the room. They provide purifier, but the quality of food served in the mess is the worst though students pay huge money for the mess.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are mostly qualified with M.tech, and some have taken specialisations in their subjects. Teachers are knowledgeable, but the basic problem is that they won't complete the portion except a few before the exam. The course curriculum is relevant as there are survey labs which provide practical knowledge other than the knowledge from the book.
Other: I have chosen this course as civil engineering is a vast branch where you can find plenty of opportunities. If a civil engineer gets a high tech project like highway construction, then their life will be set. Many college events and also fests are taking place in a year. Campus crowd is also huge.

For this rank, it may be difficult to get government seats in DSCG if you are from general category. If you have a reservation then you may get government seats. Good luck.
