Review of Hindu College, University of Delhi.
Placements: Our college administration provides placements every year through the placement cell called Odisha. They often conduct seminars and workshops on career-related topics. Numerous companies have been actively participating in placement programs over the past few years, including Google, HDFC, KPMG, Maruti, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college provides Wi-Fi for everyone. The college has laboratories with all the facilities. There is a new research laboratory that can be used by all students, irrespective of their courses. The college has a fully automated, air-conditioned, and computerised library with over 1 lakh books. Currently, the boys' hostel is not functional but the ladies' hostel is fully functional with all amenities.
Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable, and they are helpful in moulding us. They provide reading materials for additional knowledge and provide books for reference. They conduct exams in order to make students confident enough to write their semester exams.
Other: As a science student, I am happy with this college because it has everything, including modern laboratory setups. It has been conducting many fests and programs that will make every student happy mentally, socially, and physically.

Hostels are good but after covid boys' hostel is not open. Food served in the canteen is good. Medical facilities are available. Our college has a very good large ground for all the sports.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very good, helpful, well qualified, and share knowledge. The course curriculum is good and relevant which makes students the best. Exams are average and depend on students' preparation. The pass percentage is above 70%.
Other: I chose this course to study animals and their habits. Many events and fests are organised in our college. Campus crowd is very high.

If you got a heart for research, Hindu College (DU) is calling. It is one premier institute.
Placements: Since, I am a representative of a subject in Biology, ie Zoology, no campus placements are given at the graduation level. Campus placements are offered to more technical courses like B.Com or Statistics. We even have a placement cell in our college in the name DISHA. But, during our course in the college, we will surely come across many internship opportunities in our field of study and under eminent research scholars of DU. We even have an internship cell named "Abhyas" in our college. In the coming years, HINDU is surely going to open doors in the field of research in Biology, Physics and Chemistry as a very big block with all modern research equipments and facilities exclusively for research is under construction inside the campus right adjacent to the Science block. So, Hindu college is going to be a big breakthrough for students who have a taste in research activities.
Infrastructure: Hindu college is one of the best colleges in the country. Our college was given the Rank 2 in National institutional ranking framework. An eco-friendly campus with one of the finest infrastructures in Delhi university. Always clean and tidy. Zoology dept in the college is well acclaimed. We have two laboratories, one inside the dept and the other one in the Science block. We also have a museum where specimens of organisms are displayed. Our professors are very able and helpful. College provides all of its students centralised Wi-Fi system. We cant have access to it from every point in the college due to limitations in the bandwidth and range, but it works faster in the library and canteen. Hindu college provides a very good library with several national and international publications. Through this reading space, students have access to major national newspapers in English and Hindi Science journals and magazines, research papers and publications and much more. The topmost floor of the library is a common reading room which is fully air-conditioned. Here, you will also get previous year question papers of your subject. Hindu college provides separate hostel for boys and girls, and both inside the campus itself. Students get all the facilities inside hostel including high-speed Wi-Fi. The food in the canteen and mess are pretty good. One can get both North and South Indian cuisine foods in the College canteen. Besides canteen, there are two other food courts in our college. Another speciality of Hindu college is its sports ground. We got a really big green grass ground which is very well maintained throughout the year. We also have a big sports complex and sports gym in our college. The major sports attractions in the college are football, basketball and cricket. What our college lack is a sick room or medical room. Students have brought this issue in the notice of college parliament and they have assured that a sick room facility will be availed from next year onwards and we too hope so.
Faculty: The faculty members in the dept of Hindu college is amazing. They are very able, qualified and experts in their subject of teaching. Zoology dept of Hindu college in one of the well-acclaimed depts in the College. The course curriculum is very relevant. Delhi University is a pole standard institution in the country. This is one premier institute for higher learning in the country. The course and its sequential set up is of top class. It prepares students just not for exams. A graduation from DU creates a strong foundation in the disciplines you learnt and its surely going to help in the future.
Other: I always wanted to pursue a career in Biochemistry. In Hindu college, I am at present doing Zoology honours with Chemistry as my generic elective. When I went through the syllabus and course details I found it very interesting. You got to learn Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Human physiology in various semesters, which are my personal favourites. So I chose this one. When it comes to academics our dept is the best in the college because of the student-teacher ratio. More or less we get individual attention from teachers. But, it would have been better if teachers use blackboard more than using a projector to teach. When both smart teaching and blackboard teaching goes hand in hand, the lectures will be more effective. Talking about fests and events, Hindu college is the centre of the focal point. The best college fest in the Delhi University and very well known in the Country. "mecca" is the pride of every Hinduite. Besides this, every dept in the college got their own society and fest. Our dept too got their own societies which goes by the name EARTHLINGS and GENESIS. The college offers various kinds of scholarships and grant to meritorious students. Every year top students are given cash prizes and grants on founder, s day of college. Students who did great are given book grants too. Besides all these, the campus surroundings, the exposure one gets in the campus, crowd, life, friends circle etc. are very hard to put into words. It's amazing to such an extremity.

It is a good college for students who are seeking placements.
Placements: About 10% of students in our course got placed, and the rest of them go for research work and for higher studies. The highest salary package offered is 30 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. Top companies like Amazon, Google and Microsoft visited our campus for placements. Top roles, like an assistant manager and managing director, are offered to the students. The highest salary package offered in our course is 15 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. About 40% of students got an internship in companies InfoAdda, Travel Triangle, PepsiCo, Realme and Oneplus.
Infrastructure: Zoology department has a pretty bad infrastructure with no proper lab instruments and air-conditioning. There are no washrooms nearby. It provides old laptops and projectors. Department looks like a 150 years old place. It does not provide Wi-Fi and other facilities for students. Medical facilities are not available. Food served in the canteen is tasty. You can play football, cricket, basketball and volleyball only, and no other games and activities are available. Food served in the hostel is also good. The infrastructure of the boys hostel is bad.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are helpful, highly qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is the best in DU. The course curriculum is not relevant, and it does not make the students industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen this course because I had no other options instead of not getting medical, and it is an interest-oriented course. Syllabus needs improvement as well as the department. Events are not much organised for zoology students. Mecca fest organised by the college is famous and the best in DU. Scholarships are hard to get at our college. Extracurricular activities are mostly not for us. It needs a lot of improvement and needs for infrastructure improvement. It needs to come in the limelight as other departments.
