Placements: I am pursuing a dual degree course: B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering and M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. I have just completed my B.Tech, and only one year of M.Tech remains. In B.Tech Electronics and Communication, last year 70% of students were placed, with some opting for higher studies. The highest package offered was 50 lakhs by Microsoft. Due to the recession, placements have been lower than usual. Electronics and Communication Engineering students are allowed by all companies to participate in their placement and internship cycles. Top companies include Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Goldman Sachs, Walmart, Amazon, Accenture, Texas Instruments, NVIDIA, and others.
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi throughout the campus, as well as a LAN network in hostels and labs. The classrooms are spacious and equipped with AC. The library is one of the best places on campus, a five-floored, fully furnished, and air-conditioned facility. I’ve heard it is the largest library in any engineering college in India. There is at least one canteen in each hostel, and there are many food outlets on campus. We also have a health center for medical facilities.
Faculty: It is well-known that all professors at IIT colleges are qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is similar to that of other IITs. The difficulty of semester exams varies depending on the professor or subject. Exams for some courses are very hard, while others are easier. Particularly in Electronics, the difficulty level is above average.
Other: Electronics and Communication Engineering allows you to sit for both core and software company placements. The curriculum is a mix of core and tech subjects. There are many students on campus, including those in B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc., Ph.D., and JRF programs. There are three major annual fests, and you can avail yourself of many scholarships based on specific criteria.

I am absolutely satisfied with my course, good placements in 2019 and good infrastructure.
Placements: About 66.67% of students were placed in 2019 out of total 24 batch strength. The highest salary package of 18 LPA in domestic and the lowest salary package of 6 LPA and the average salary package of around 10 LPA are offered. Almost all top technical companies visit for our course, including Microsoft, Goldman Sach, Amazon, Samsung, etc. Many top roles are offered to students, including research profile PPO in Samsung and data analysis in Goldman Sach. The highest salary package of around 23.67 LPA and the lowest salary package 8 LPA and the average salary package of around 12 LPA are offered in our course. Recently conducting internships right now 8 out of 17 eligible students get interned from top recruiting IT companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Arista, Microsoft and Goldman Sach.
Infrastructure: In our college, the computer department has the best facilities and infrastructure compared to any other branch. There is a separate building for the computer science and engineering department with well and highly qualified professors. The department is well-equipped with all modern facilities like ethernet connection, Wi-Fi facility, modern classrooms and a separate department library. Same like our department, the hostel condition is also very good compared to various engineering colleges in India. All hostels are well-equipped with clean drinking water, late-night canteens, Wi-Fi facility and each room with ethernet facility. The mess food quality is okay, but you will never get homemade food taste. The 24 hours of medical facilities are also available.
Faculty: Right now, I am in my 3-year, and teachers are helped to me to complete my half journey in my engineering successfully. Professors are well and highly qualified to teach in the institute like as IIT's, and every professor has specialisation in their field. The course curriculum is well designed in relevant to modern as well as taking care of basics so that students don't take it as a burden instead enjoy studying it.
Other: I get this course during my JoSAA counselling. The best thing about our course is that within 5 years you will get both a bachelors and masters degree. I think with rapid growth in the IT sector, so the mode of teaching should be made practical rather than explaining the only theory. Every year annual tech fest called Concetoo is organised in October. The annual cultural fest called Srijan is organised in the middle of March, and also various other major events are held within the year.

Wonderful experience, good value for money. People build life long friendship and connection.
Placements: Ours was the first batch of the dual degree. Almost 90% of students were placed. The highest package salary offered was 22LPA, and the lowest salary package salary offered was 7 LPA and Median salary package offered was 17 LPA. Students happy from dual degree placed in Microsoft, Paytm, Samsung, CGI. Companies including Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, DE shaw, Flipkart also hired the other students from campus.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and labs are at international par standards. The institute boasts of India's having the largest library. The sports facility is fabulous, and students maintain gymkhana. Hostels are the best but require some decongestion. There are 2 main canteens and a separate canteen for hostels.
Faculty: The course curriculum is designed by academic senate of the institute which includes prominent scientists, scholars, researchers of their field. Faculty members are qualified and more research-oriented though faculty crunch can be felt. Students get good industry exposure.

Other: Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad is one of the most esteemed colleges in our country. Admissions to the college are taken from IIT-JEE.
It is considered as one of the toughest entrance exams for B.tech. ISM is ranked the 7th best engineering college in India.
Overall, it is a good college.
It has a campus of over 300 acres with lots of greenery inside the campus. The facilities in the college are good.
You will have canteens which will be open till 2 AM. Lab facilities are also good as compared to other engineering colleges in the country. You will have a LAN connection in your hostel room. Hostel rooms are quite small but you will enjoy your stay in the hostel the most.
The senior-junior relation is the best you can get in any college.
