Almost 95 percent of CE graduates were placed at IIT-K in previous batches. The IIT-B placement rate for the CE branch was close to 85%. Therefore, from a placement perspective, IIT Kharagpur is better than IIT Bombay.

BTech aspirants must fill out the application form for JEE Main through the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) i.e., (nta.ac.in). The application fee for boys is INR 625 and for girls is INR 325. Followed by JEE Main, students are required to register for JEE Advanced  (expected be held in June 2023). For this, candidates have to first login with their JEE Main 2023 application number and password. Next candidates have to fill in the registration form, upload scanned certificates, and pay the application fee. The conducting IIT releases JEE Advanced admit card under the respective logins of the registered candidates at jeeadv.ac.in. To login, students are required to use their JEE Advanced registration number, password and registered mobile number. Now, that the JEE Main exam for the 2023 session is already over, the JEE Advanced admit card 2024 will be available for download until exam day. The exam date, time, reporting time, exam centre venue and all important instructions for exam day will be mentioned on the JEE Advanced 2024 admit card.

IIT Kharagpur BTech fees is between INR 8 Lacs and INR 10 lakh. However, this fee is been sourced from unofficial sources. Hence, is indicative. To answer the second question of whether IIT Kharagpur BTech fee is expensive or not, the fee for all IITs is almost similar to each other. However, it is comparatively less than top private BTech colleges such as BITS where the BTech tuition fee goes up till INR 19 lakh. 

To get admission into IIT Kharagpur, the JEE Advanced closing Cutoff rank for the female candidate (General Category) ranged between 1661 and 24653 for different BTech courses. Since BTech (Hons) in CSE was the toughest course to get into, therefore the Cutoff for the same was the lowest cutoff rank i.e. 1661. For the Female Candidates (OBC category), the JEE Advanced Cutoff ranged between 601 and 9222, with the cutoff for BTech (Hons) in CSE being 601.
