Note that the IIT graduates having CGPA of 8.0 or above will be eligible for direct admission at IIT Kharagpur without a GATE score 2023. The institute has scrapped the written tests/interviews of shortlisted candidates. The admissions will be conducted on the basis of the GATE 2023 score only.

Eligibility criteria for M.Tech Naval Architecture is: Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture/ Marine Engineering/ Nautical Science/ Ship Building/ Mechanical Engineering/ Civil Engineering/ B.Arch or the equivalent.
