IIT Roorkee. An ideal place to stay.

Placements: The placement scenario of our college was excellent at our time. As we all know that IITs posses great placement record, IIT Roorkee is no different. I was a postgraduate student at IIT Roorkee. I never expected good placement for postgraduate courses. But to my astonishment, we had some MNCs coming for placement in our college as well as some educational institutions had come for faculty recruitment. I got an offer for the post of an assistant professor in a reputed private engineering college in Guntur. I did not join because I want to do PhD. Overall placements were very good in this college.

Infrastructure: As we all know that IITs have the best infrastructure in the country regarding academic and non-academic arena, IIT Roorkee is nowhere different. IIT Roorkee has one of the most beautiful campuses in the country, I believe. The campus has the Wi-Fi facility which was one of the best places to live. The college has classrooms, Mahatma Gandhi central library, hospital, sports facility, and everything was good. The infrastructure was also very good both for undergraduates and postgraduate students. It is one of the best places to stay and study.

Faculty: IIT Roorkee posses a great panel of faculty members throughout all the disciplines. Although they have very big names, some of them have become reluctant about teaching, while some of the very old professors are still enthusiastic and motivated towards teaching. The student will not miss their class. Thus it is a mix of good and average teachers. The curriculum was good for the students.
