IIT BHU: A college with amazing facilities.
Placements: Almost 80 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package offered goes upto 75 lacs and the lowest being 6-7 LPA with an average package of around 18 LPA. Many popular companies visit for hiring. A huge number of students also get internship offers. Top roles include roles in IT, Finance or Core jobs.
Infrastructure: Many facilities are provided in the course, along with the research facilities. Labs and classrooms are maintained well. There is a huge library in the campus. Hostel rooms are small considering the triple sharing concept. Food quality is good but gets monotonous after a while. All kinds of sports and gym are available in the campus.
Faculty: Teachers here are very qualified in their respective fields. They are very helpful in answering doubts. Their teaching quality is great as well. Course curriculum can be updated. Students are industry ready if they want to pursue jobs in core. Semester exams are held twice in a semester and can easily be cleared if studied beforehand.
Other: I chose this course as it is a very unique branch of engineering. It provides both the choice of taking jobs after degree or doing research. Only thing that can be updated in the course is the course curriculum. Fests are held multiple times in the college and are amazing. There are also clubs in the college in every field that are majorly run by the students.

A brief review about IIT-BHU.
Placements: Approximately 70% of the students who appeared for placements in 2022 secured job offers. The highest salary offered in 2022 was 1.15 crores per annum. The average salary for placements in 2022 was 21 LPA. The median salary for placements in 2022 was 19 LPA. None of the students were able to secure internships this year. The majority of students opted for placements in SDE, consulting, and analytics roles.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure leaves much to be desired, with buildings in need of renovation and outdated equipment. The hostels are far from impressive, with terrible water coolers and sub-par water quality. The food is satisfactory, but the rooms are average, with triple sharing for first-year students. However, the hostel for second-year students is of better quality.
Faculty: The academic support from teachers was lacking, as is often the case in most colleges. However, the professors were generally kind and understanding. The curriculum was satisfactory—not overly difficult but not too easy either. For first-year students, the grading system made it relatively easy to achieve a good CPI. As for the semester exams, they were moderately challenging, but with about 2 weeks of studying, one could perform well.
Other: The placement opportunities are outstanding, the best aspect of this institution. While the faculty and infrastructure could be improved, the curriculum is commendable as it provides students with the freedom to pursue their interests. Numerous events are organized, creating an excellent campus atmosphere. Additionally, the availability of scholarships adds to the overall appeal of the university.

IIT BHU- Best college to learn life lessons.
Placements: It has still not been disclosed, and quite a few have been placed in the IT sector in ceramics. The lowest package is 12 lacs, and the highest is 2.6 crores. Average for ceramics is 20 lacs per annum. Top companies are like Tata, Kajaria, and Somany. One student got an internship. The top two roles are application engineer and maintenance engineer.
Infrastructure: Our department building is quite good. Plus, in 2024, it is going to be renovated. Related to ceramics, everything is present there and you can opt for research if you wish to. The hostel is quite good and for the second year, it is the best hostel as it is newly made and many new facilities are there.
Faculty: Teachers like professors and TA's (teaching assistants) are always there to help and we can mail anytime. Teaching quality is good, though. Course curriculum starts getting relevant from the 2nd semester and totally from the 3rd semester, and in the first semester, all branches study all subjects.
Other: I chose this course as it was the only thing that I got and I will work hard on coding. Ceramic in itself is a unique branch and it has many options, though it is not known much to people in India. Ceramics just needs awareness, not just titles. I mean, obviously, we haven't cleared exams like JEE to make ports or titles. IIT Bhu has a lot of festivals, which include Kashiyatra, Technex, spardha and a lot more and it has a lot of sports too.

Amazing placements, great exposure, and really good alumni network.
Placements: IIT BHU is one of the best engineering colleges in India in terms of placements. For the year 2022-23, The overall placement percentage was around 90% and for ceramic engineering it was around 80%, Average package was 24 LPA. Median was 21 LPA. The highest package being 1.15 crores per annum while the lowest package offered was 5.4 LPA. Many core companies like Cera, Ambuja Cements, Piramal, Kajaria visit for campus placements, top non core companies include J. P. Morgan Case and Co. , Amazon, Zomato, Deloitte, etc. Several companies offered internships as well, the highest stipend being 57k. Job roles included Ceramics Research, Software Development, Consulting erc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure at IIT BHU is little underdeveloped as compared to other first generation IITs, Classrooms do not have ACs, Wi-Fi is quite good it goes to a maximum speed of 1 gbps. LAN is also available, we do have an air conditioned library. In hostels there are 3 students in one room, new hostels are being constructed, mess food is quite good as compared to other IITs. We have a health centre which provides free medical care, Sports facilities are just awesome, we have a newly built student activity centre which has 20+ indoor sports. We have 3 grounds for all outdoor sports.
Faculty: Professors are very much knowledgeable, all professors have a Ph.D. They are quite helpful as far as the studies are concerned. Course curriculum is a bit outdated, however many new subjects which are relevant in present time are being added, examination system is little easier as compared to other first generation IITs, we have relatively grading so the passing marks varies for each course.
Other: Ceramics in an emerging field, it has a lot of scope, plus this course is quite easier so you get a lot of free time to explore other things as well. Infrastructure needs to be improved. Fests are just fabulous. We have four fests every year namely, Kashiyatra, Spardha, FMC Weekend, Technex. We have a lot of clubs and societies like Cine club, Business club, MUN, etc. Where one can learn many things. And most importantly, IIT BHU has a hundred year old alumni network.
