- Read moreCandidate must satisfy at least one of the following two criteria with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in the year of first appearance in the Class XII (or equivalent examination), i.e. in either 2023 or 2024: Candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent examination with a minimum of five subjects and with the mentioned marks in aggregate (65% for PwD candidates) from a recognized board. OR Candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent examination with minimum of five subjects and be within the category-wise (category as per the central list) top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective Class XII (or equivalent) board examination. Other mandatory Criteria: Candidate who had appeared in Class 12th or equivalent examination for the first time in 2022 or earlier, are NOT eligible to appear irrespective of the combination or number of subjects attempted/offered. However, if the exam Board of Class 12th or equivalent declared the results for the academic year 2021-22 on or after September 21, 2022, then the candidates of that Board who appeared for their Class 12th or equivalent exam in 2022 are also eligible appear in JEE (Advanced) 2024, provided they meet all the other eligibility criteria. In case the exam Board of class 12th or equivalent declared the results for the academic year 2021-22 before September 21, 2022 but the result of a particular candidate was withheld, then the candidate will not be eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2024. NOTE: List of Qualifying Examinations (QE): - The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by a Central or State Board recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). - Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a Board or University recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. - Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy. - Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects. - Any Public School, Board or University examination in India or in a foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the AIU. - H.S.C. vocational examination. - In case the Class XII examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier.

Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1999. SC, ST, and PwD candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1994.
Candidates who have been admitted to a preparatory course in any of the IITs for the first time in 2023 can appear in JEE (Advanced) 2024.
The candidates who were allocated a seat in an IIT through JoSAA 2023 but (i) did not report “online” / at any “reporting centre” OR, (ii) withdrew before the last round of seat allotment, OR, (iii) had their seat cancelled (for whatever reason) before the last round of seat allotment for IITs, are eligible to appear for JEE (Advanced) 2024.

Placements are awesome and Infrastructure can be improved.
Placements: 90% of the students were placed this year from my branch with an average package of 18LPA and the highest package of 1.25CPA. The lowest package offered was 3LPA. Top recruiters were Tata Steel, NHAI, and other government companies. Internship opportunities are too good with nearly 40-50% students getting it from the campus only.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not like other IITs but it’s not bad either. Although the hostel rooms are small and have triple sharing concept, the hostel is good enough for living along with the mess food being good too. Wi-Fi is available in every block and floor. Canteen is also provided in each hostel. Sports facilities like badminton are also available.
Faculty: Faculty members are just OP as they are graduates from other IITs and foreign universities. They are highly qualified professors. Curriculum is competitive and relative grading is done and the students get CPI. Semester exams are not so difficult and if you have attended all the classes then you can pass easily and get a good CPI.

Review of Indian Institute of Technology, BHU, Varanasi.
Placements: More than 80% of students got placed in our course. The average salary package offered is more than 18 LPA. They recruit students who have good skills. Many IT companies visit our college to recruit students. They offer good salary packages.
Infrastructure: Our institute is 100 years old. Our college is currently undergoing full-scale renovation. The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college has many grounds. The library offers a comprehensive collection of resources.
Faculty: Our teachers are good. You will have a hectic schedule at the start of the semester, but you will get used to it as you attend your classes. The institute has a strict attendance policy of 75%. There are mid-semester and end-semester exams. They are easier than the JEE exam.

IIT BHU Varanasi - the place of Lord Shiva.
Placements: Placements are excellent at this college, with a high placement percentage. A significant number of internships are also available. In the 2024 outgoing batch, approximately 70% of students secured placements in the first season, while others will be placed in the second season. Major roles include SDE, DA/this, CORE, etc.
Infrastructure: The civil engineering course is highly regarded and considered one of the best globally. The entire college, including hostels, is equipped with Wi-Fi. The library is open from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m., providing extensive access hours. Hostels are clean and well-sanitized, each with its own mess and canteen.
Faculty: Exams, including mid-sem and end-sem, along with home assignments and quizzes, are conducted. The teachers are well-qualified, possessing extensive knowledge, including practical field experience. The average class grade reaches 8.5 SPI on a 10-point scale.
Other: There are three major festivals held each year: Kashiyatra (a a cultural festivalival), Spardha (a a sports festivalival), and Technex (a a tech festivalival). The campus, although a bit crowded, features an open layout with the presence of the New Vishwanath Temple BHU, dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Review of IIT Varanasi - Indian Institute of Technology.
Placements: Placements scenario is really good here. Top recruiters included Google, Microsoft, Facebook, etc. The average salary package offered for civil engineering was around 14 LPA to 15 LPA and the highest salary package offered in civil engineering was around 18 LPA.
Infrastructure: College is around 100 years old, so infrastructure is not very good in terms of advanced facilities, but the new buildings, such as some new hostels and libraries, are at par with any good college in the country. Old hostels are not that good because of their age.
Faculty: Faculty members and all professor are trained in their own subjects and are ready to help you, but some of them may be boring to you. Some of them may turn out to be interesting and will even crack some jokes during the lectures, but plenty of them will make you sleepy in the class.

This college provides high placements and infrastructure is good.
Placements: Around 90% of students are placed. The minimum salary package offered is 8 LPA. The maximum salary package offered is 40 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Google, and Oracle. Almost 85% of students get internships. The roles offered are product management, SDE, data analytics, consultant, web developer, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are available in our course. Wi-Fi, laboratories, classrooms, and a library are very good in this college. Wi-Fi speed is very high as compared to others. The laboratories, classroom, and library conditions are excellent and it is fully furnished. Hostel rooms are very clean, and the washrooms are also neat. The food served in the mess is not like our home, but it is average. Medical facilities are available 24X7, and they help the student community all the time. Many competitions are conducted for sports and it is very fun.
Faculty: Teachers are very supportive and qualified. They are masters in their professions. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students ready for every industry. Exams are not tough, and the grading system is also hard. The pass percentage is good.
