Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (popularly known as IIT Jammu) is an institute of national importance that was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), the Government of India in 2016. It was mentored by IIT Delhi in its initial phases. In 2018, IIT Jammu shifted the primary operations from its temporary campus in Paloura to the main campus in Jagti, Nagrota. Candidates seeking admission to BTech at IIT Jammu are expected to appear in both JEE Main and JEE Advanced and further go through JoSAA counselling to secure admission.
