Review of Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi.
Placements: Many students went for higher studies. Many students got placed in reputed educational institutions in India and abroad. A few students got placed as research assistant, political analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is excellent. It is in good condition. All classrooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained. All washrooms are well-equipped. Our canteen has a canteen. It provides food every day. Our canteen staff is very polite and friendly.
Faculty: All teachers are very knowledgeable and experienced. Our course is relevant if you have an interest in the field and want to go into academics and write civil service examinations. Our teachers are very particular about attendance.
Other: Our college has a lot of exciting courses, especially for management studies. It has a vibrant social culture. All societies are very concerned regarding functioning and structure. They provide many opportunities to explore interests and network. Our college is near Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus and Lok Kalyan Metro Station. The connectivity is good.

My best 3 years in JMC !
Placements: I did not apply for getting placed, but few friends I know they did and go through EY and KPMG. They are really happy and are still continuing with the same. I really do not have any idea regarding my own department as I mentioned earlier that I didn't apply for it.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was really amazing, it was perpetual. Canteen's food was also really good, especially chaat, and ofcourse the practice basement available for us to go any time and rehearse our dance routines for the fest ! The gardens and Tuition rooms are really good.
Faculty: They were definitely Very prudent teachers! I shall even mention some of my favourites- MA'am Usha and MA'am Meera, really fabulous and profound teachers. Their way of teaching was excellent! The notes they used to provide was more helpful and understanding.
Other: I chose political Science due to the fact that with the historical information it also includes present realms and the theories not just wars ! And yes I'd say, Chimera is a fantastic event organized by Mudra ( I did all 3 years of Mudra- The western dance soc. ). A little bit of funding should be done by the college as the students works really hard and win the competitions in other colleges.

Satisfied with the college.
Placements: Most students either go for higher studies or prepare for government exams after completing this course. As far as internships are concerned, students need to reach out to external sources themselves. Overall, the average package offered at the college was around 7 LPA.
Infrastructure: The facilities include a spacious amphitheater, an auditorium, well-equipped laboratories, a cafeteria, an indoor and outdoor gymnasium, a well-resourced library with both online and print material and more. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is acceptable.
Faculty: The faculty in all the colleges of the University of Delhi is well qualified. The professors are very helpful when reached out to; they provide guidance and even study material to help out the students. The semester exams are not at all tough. The students need to focus on previous-year papers to be able to score well in their semester exams.
Other: The college has a lot going on year-round, be it competitions, seminars, sports events, cultural events, educational events or fests. Join societies and clubs for exposure and to acquire new skills.

Jesus and mary college was a great place.
Placements: Almost 40% students got placed. The recruiting companies change every year. The highest package offered is 3,00,000 per annum, average package is 2,00,000 per annum, the lowest package is of 1,00,000 per annum. Students prefer to study further after this course.
Infrastructure: We have a big college. Wi-Fi is provided to us, we have an auditorium separate from the college's main building. We have a football ground and a basketball court. There is a gym inside our college and a place for other society to work. Canteen provides good food.
Faculty: Teachers help the students every time. They are more than qualified and sufficient knowledge about the course they teach. The teacher help us with doubts and give us sufficient time to understand the topic. In hand teachers provide us with the latest notes.
Other: I chose this course because it was related to my career goal.

One of the best colleges which helps in the overall development of a student.
Placements: The college has an effective placement cell providing good placements to the students. Various companies and organisations visit our college for campus placements. As I have political science as my graduation subject, I have rarely heard seniors going for placements after graduation.
Infrastructure: We have almost everything in our college, from computer labs to gyms. The infrastructure of our college is good, and the classrooms are well-ventilated. The canteen is good but quite expensive compared to other colleges. Our college doesn't provide hostel facilities.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good with most of the professors having a doctorate degree and experience. Teaching methods vary from professor to professor. Mostly, it is interactive. They provide you with various examples which are really helpful to understand the concepts.
Other: JMC is situated in one of the best areas in Delhi surrounded by the embassy. The campus is huge compared to other DU colleges. The nearest metro station is Lok Kalyan Marg and Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus. Our college arranges lots of competitions and panel discussions which are very helpful for the overall development of a student. The college fest called Montage is one of the best college fests of Delhi University. The college also provides scholarships to the eligible students. The college crowd is amazing.

Students also asked

Q:   Does Jesus and Mary College accept CUET score?

A:

As of my last update in January 2022, Jesus and Mary College (JMC) in New Delhi, India, is affiliated with the University of Delhi. At that time, the University of Delhi primarily admitted students based on merit lists derived from board examination scores (such as CBSE or other relevant boards), rather than through entrance exams like the CUET (Common University Entrance Test).

However, educational policies and admission procedures can change over time, so I would recommend checking the official website of Jesus and Mary College or the University of Delhi for the most up-to-date information regarding their admission process and acceptance of the CUET score.

Q:   Is B.Sc. at Jesus and Mary College a good choice?

A:
{Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Is B.Sc. at Jesus and Mary College (JMC) a good choice?

Here's a summary of the key points:

* Teaching Quality: Faculty members are generally helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Some professors display excellent teaching skills, while others may need improvement.
* Course Curriculum: While some students find the curriculum relevant, others feel it focuses too much on theoretical concepts and not enough on practical applications.
* Industry Readiness: Students mentioned that their course doesn't prepare them directly for industry jobs, but they do receive training that makes them "industry-ready."
* Examinations: Exam questions range from easy to difficult, and the pass percentage varies. Some departments have stricter attendance policies, affecting student participation.
* Placements: Placement opportunities exist, but success rates vary across departments. Average salaries range between INR2-INR6 Lacs per annum, with top recruiters like ICICI, EY, and Deloitte.
* Campus Infrastructure: Facilities like Wi-Fi, laboratories, libraries, and hostels are available. However, some areas require attention, such as the lack of hostel facilities for mathematics students.
* Ambiance: The college provides a friendly atmosphere, encouraging extracurricular activities and building confidence among students.

Overall, studying B.Sc. at JMC can be a good choice if you're willing to put in effort to succeed despite potential challenges with the curriculum and limited placement opportunities in certain departments.

Q:   Can students join Jesus and Mary College directly without any entrance exam?

A:

As last update in January 2022, admission policies can vary from year to year and may be subject to change. Jesus and Mary College (JMC), like many other colleges in India, typically requires students to undergo an entrance examination or meet certain eligibility criteria for admission into its undergraduate programs. These entrance exams could be conducted at the national level, like the Common Entrance Test (CET) or university-level exams conducted by the University of Delhi.

However, colleges may have provisions for direct admission under certain circumstances such as reserved seats for specific categories, sports quota, or merit-based admissions. It's best to check the latest admission guidelines provided by Jesus and Mary College or the University of Delhi to confirm the current admission process and eligibility criteria. You can visit Shiksha's website for more information.
