Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. They make teaching fun. Semester exams are not difficult and teachers are always there to help us out. The teachers are qualified and they are updated in their fields. Course is curriculum relevant in the modern days as sociology teaches how society works and psychology teaches how the human mind works so basically, we learn about society and human mind and we can combined them and use it in the field we are going to work in the future. The semester exams are not that hard, we can ace the test by studying during the study leave.

Our teachers are polite, respectful, helpful, and friendly and the campus is good.
Placements: In our course, most students are not looking for a job right after this course. Because of the nature of working in the mental health field, the minimum requirement is a master's degree in psychology. Some students do sit for placements and get placed. Top recruiting companies like ICICI Bank, Accenture, Deloitte, Axis Bank, Decathlon, Paytm, Genpact, HDFC Bank, Nestle, etc., visit our campus. Our college offers commerce and humanities courses.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available, but the network is not reliable. We have a well-built psychology lab with several pieces of equipment like the tachistoscope, etc. Projectors are available. Air-conditioned systems are available in computer labs. Projectors are available in all classrooms. Some of them are not functional at times but that still doesn't create a problem, except that we might have to shift classrooms. Air-conditioned systems are not available in many classrooms but a few classrooms are not. We have a huge library spread across three floors. Many books are available in the library. There are PCs in the library. The campus looks beautiful, clean, and green. There are two lawns. One of them is an open gym area. The auditorium, popularly known as Venet Hall, is huge. It has a balcony sitting area, it is air-conditioned and is perfect for all important events. There is an amphitheater on campus. The hostel facilities are not available. The nearest place you can stay is 15 minutes away, at Satya Niketan and Anand Niketan. You can get PGs and flats. If you are comfortable with a bit of traveling, you can find accommodations at Rajouri Garden, Sake, or Lajpat Nagar too. There is a canteen and a dairy shop on campus. They make simple, fresh food. There are lots of options, and you will love the taste and feel of the food. Medical facilities are available. JMC takes sports very seriously. There are so many games played on campus. There is a football ground, a TT table, cricket, basketball, tennis, fencing, and different sports are played every morning at the college. There is a gym and gym trainer on campus.
Faculty: Our teachers are excellent. The teaching quality is good. They always teach us extra things that are not even part of the course. They make you want to keep studying the subject. They are helpful, sweet, and non-judgemental. The syllabus, exams, etc., are based on what the university prescribes. Our teachers differ in the way they approach teaching that syllabus. Besides internal assessments, some teachers give quizzes, etc., to help us understand the subject. Classes are conducted regularly. We have passionate teachers who encourage students to be regular.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. It is a good course that makes you think, question things, and form answers and opinions. The subject, if studied well, makes us more open-minded and understanding people.

Students also asked

Q:   Does Jesus and Mary College accept CUET score?

A:

As of my last update in January 2022, Jesus and Mary College (JMC) in New Delhi, India, is affiliated with the University of Delhi. At that time, the University of Delhi primarily admitted students based on merit lists derived from board examination scores (such as CBSE or other relevant boards), rather than through entrance exams like the CUET (Common University Entrance Test).

However, educational policies and admission procedures can change over time, so I would recommend checking the official website of Jesus and Mary College or the University of Delhi for the most up-to-date information regarding their admission process and acceptance of the CUET score.

Q:   Is B.Sc. at Jesus and Mary College a good choice?

A:
{Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Is B.Sc. at Jesus and Mary College (JMC) a good choice?

Here's a summary of the key points:

* Teaching Quality: Faculty members are generally helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Some professors display excellent teaching skills, while others may need improvement.
* Course Curriculum: While some students find the curriculum relevant, others feel it focuses too much on theoretical concepts and not enough on practical applications.
* Industry Readiness: Students mentioned that their course doesn't prepare them directly for industry jobs, but they do receive training that makes them "industry-ready."
* Examinations: Exam questions range from easy to difficult, and the pass percentage varies. Some departments have stricter attendance policies, affecting student participation.
* Placements: Placement opportunities exist, but success rates vary across departments. Average salaries range between INR2-INR6 Lacs per annum, with top recruiters like ICICI, EY, and Deloitte.
* Campus Infrastructure: Facilities like Wi-Fi, laboratories, libraries, and hostels are available. However, some areas require attention, such as the lack of hostel facilities for mathematics students.
* Ambiance: The college provides a friendly atmosphere, encouraging extracurricular activities and building confidence among students.

Overall, studying B.Sc. at JMC can be a good choice if you're willing to put in effort to succeed despite potential challenges with the curriculum and limited placement opportunities in certain departments.

Q:   Can students join Jesus and Mary College directly without any entrance exam?

A:

As last update in January 2022, admission policies can vary from year to year and may be subject to change. Jesus and Mary College (JMC), like many other colleges in India, typically requires students to undergo an entrance examination or meet certain eligibility criteria for admission into its undergraduate programs. These entrance exams could be conducted at the national level, like the Common Entrance Test (CET) or university-level exams conducted by the University of Delhi.

However, colleges may have provisions for direct admission under certain circumstances such as reserved seats for specific categories, sports quota, or merit-based admissions. It's best to check the latest admission guidelines provided by Jesus and Mary College or the University of Delhi to confirm the current admission process and eligibility criteria. You can visit Shiksha's website for more information.
