GATE CCMT R3 was released for admission to the M.Tech courses. Candidates seeking admission to the NIT Jalandhar M.Tech course must secure a rank between 351 and 434 for the General category students. Year-wise Round 3 cutoff ranks are given below for M.Tech specialisations: 

Yes, the institute has achieved an excellent placement record over the past few years. During NIT Jalandhar placements 2023, 796 offers were made. Additionally, a total of 950 students were eligible for the placements, of which 701 students were placed in reputed companies. The total tuition fee for a two-year MTech is INR 1.4 Lacs (except for M.Tech AI). The tuition fee for M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence (AI) course is INR 2.72 lakh. This given fee is for regular M.Tech candidates. For the candidates belonging to a self-sponsored category, the tuition fee is INR 2.2 lakh, while the SC/ST category candidates are exempted from tuition fee payment. It must be noted that the given fee is as per unofficial sources and hence may vary.

A two-year MTech programme is available at NIT Jalandhar. There are 16 specialisations available for this programme. There are two options for students to be admitted to the M.Tech programme at NIT Jalandhar. They either need to qualify for GATE and appear for CCMT Counselling. Another option is to get admission through the Self-Sponsored category via only a GATE score.

Additionally, non-GATE-qualified candidates can also be admitted by taking the entrance test held by the particular departments at NIT Jalandhar. Students must meet the minimal requirements for eligibility and pass the applicable admission exam with a passing score. To meet the minimum eligibility criteria, the candidate must be a graduate with a minimum 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA with BE/B.Tech subject from a recognised university. To apply for M.Tech at NIT Jalandhar, students are required to apply via GATE. The application process for GATE 2024 consists of three steps, I. e. , registration, form filling & document uploading, followed by payment of application fees.

NITJ offers MTech programmes in 18 specialisations. The multiple specialisations in which the course is available are Computer Science & Engineering, Industrial Engineering, VLSI Design, Structural & Construction Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, etc. The mode of study for all these courses is full-time. The totals seat intake for these specialisations is 494.

It is necessary for all MTech course aspirants to fulfil the eligibility requirements. Candidates with a valid BE/BTech degree from a recognised university are eligible. In addition, the aspirant must have secured at least 60% aggregate in the degree course to become eligible for admission. For verification purposes, aspirants shall have the relevant documents as well.

NIT Jalandhar M.Tech admissions are entirely based on a valid GATE score. Candidates are selected as per their rank obtained in the entrance exam score and the final seat allotment is done through CCMT Counselling process. The first preference will be given to GATE rank holders. However,  if the seats remain vacant after admitting GATE qualified candidates, then the students will have to appear for a department-level entrance test to try their chance for admission. 

In order to get admission to M.Tech at NIT Jalandhar, students need to qualify GATE exam with a valid score followed by CCMT Counselling. After that, they need to fill an online application form for NIT Jalandhar M.Tech admission. Those who are Non-GATE qualifiers can also get admission to MTech. They only need to appear for the entrance exam carried out by the specific departments at NIT Jalandhar.

For admission to NIT Jalandhar, aspirants shall have secured a percentile between 80 – 98.73. This percentile is mentioned as per the past year's records and hence may vary.
