Good rules and regulations.
Placements: In Chemical Engineering, NITJ achieved 100% placements in 2024, with an average package of 7.89 LPA. The highest package was 15.17 LPA at Amazon in the tech stream. Placements in all branches are above average, with good quality students and a good placement ratio.
Infrastructure: Some hostels are congested, but new hostels have enough space for students and good facilities. The rest of the infrastructure is fantastic, and there are grounds to play games, with an instructor for every game. The college organizes tournaments for each game.
Faculty: Faculty is strict in the classroom, but they are okay in behavior. The curriculum is set according to students' welfare, providing rest after exams and holidays for festivals. The college also runs various schemes like laptop loans with zero interest over four years.

I would definitely recommend to join this college. This is an NIT so you know what are the perks.
Placements: Almost 98% of students got placed in the Chemical Engineering department. The highest package of 35 LPA was offered by Microsoft. Reliance, Unacademy, and Microsoft are some companies that gave good placement packages. Almost every student got an internship. Mostly, companies hire for the role of UT, and some hire as SDE.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available on the college campus, in classrooms, and in libraries. There are reading rooms too on the campus. Classrooms and labs are up-to-date and clean as well. Hostel rooms are good enough, with lush green campus surroundings. There is also a dispensary on the college campus. A gym and a gymnasium, both are there.
Faculty: Professors are very helpful. They teach relevant stuff. Assignments are helpful for exam preparation. Semester exams are not that tough. The course curriculum is modified as per the new education policy. Almost everyone got passed from our batch. Hardly one or two students got a backlog, especially in mathematics.
Other: I got this college on the basis of my JEE rank. Here, campus life is too much fun. There are lots of fests in the college. The vibrant Punjabi culture is too good to enjoy.

Come to the chemical industry.
Placements: About 85 to 87% of students were placed in my course. The highest package is 51 LPA by Amazon, and it was on campus. The lowest package is 3 lacs per annum by the chemical industry, and still, the placement sessions are going on. Top recruiting companies like Microsoft, Uber, Swiggy, Zomato, and Amazon visited our campus, and 80% of students got internships in our course. The roles are offered in the chemical industry, including coding jobs.
Infrastructure: Here in NIT Jalandhar, we have nice infrastructure, but as this campus was built in 1989, buildings are quite old and damaged. Some of the facilities are lacking here. In the college buildings, you will get 24x7 full-speed Wi-Fi, and here, the labs are absolutely fine. Classrooms are very nice, with amplifying speakers and a big blackboard. Which helps the teacher deliver the lecture efficiently.
Faculty: All teachers have Ph.D.s and are very knowledgeable; some of them have also worked in different areas and have gathered knowledge of the whole chemical industry; some of them also have contacts with recruiting companies, which is helpful in the direct recruitment of good students, which is quite good and fascinating. The semester paper is difficult here. You cannot do it one night itself; it requires study for at least one month.

Review of Dr. BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar.
Placements: Our placement percentage vary from 90 to 100 percent of eligible student. Number of eligible students vary from 50 to 90 percent. So though states look good but actually eligible students are low. Our average package vary from 7.5 to 8.5 LPA with the lowest at 3.6 LPA and the highest as 20 or 40 LPA depending on batch. Top recruiting companies are reliance, BPCL Technip energy for core and for non teach Deloitte, Accenture, sprinkler etc. Number of internship in our course are generally lesser with most being unpaid with only few companies offer paid ones. Internship percentage is around 10 percent in 3rd year and around 30 - 40 percent in 4th year. Despite this, NIT offers us better placement opportunities than private institutes.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our institute is good. They do offer Wi-Fi facilities, which is around 60 mbps speed. Classrooms are well-equipped with smart boards, projectors and ACs. The institute has one central library where you can get books and two reading buildings where we can take our own study material for reading. The institute provides us with every type of indoor and outdoor sports facilities. The food in our hostel is average and has hygiene issues.
Faculty: Only a few of the teachers in our course (Chemical Engineering) are actually knowledgeable and helpful. The rest of them don't have adequate knowledge about their subject. They just read someone's notes and force the student to note them down. They try to skip students doubts by being judgmental to them. Unable to answer any doubt reasonably. If we use our own approach in exams, they are unable to understand it even easy-to-understand concepts and deduct marks for that. Lastly, they even threaten us that if we don't shape ourselves according to the teacher. We will never pass their subject in whole B.Tech. Not all the teachers are like that but the majority of them are like this only. The course curriculum is relevant but we need to learn things by ourselves. Most of the students in our batch are dependent on faculty for subject knowledge and don't read any books. This creates a bubble where faculty with no understanding about their subject teaches students, and due to the low reasoning ability of students, they can't differentiate between what concepts actually are and how the teacher has misinterpreted them. Generally, these students got the highest marks also with no understanding about the subject. Semester exams difficulty levels vary from low to medium. But marks in most subjects depend on whether we are approaching each question according to the teacher (high marks) or we use our own approach (mostly low marks because the teacher can't understand it even if the final answer is correct).
Other: I chose this course because of the better placement opportunities afforded by the NIT tag. However, I wish the faculty and students were more knowledgeable and had better reasoning skills. Unfortunately, our course, Chemical Engineering, lacks in these areas. For reference, compare it with IITs or even ordinary foreign institutes, and you'll see that we don't come close.

Placements are decent, faculty members are good, and the infrastructure is very good.
Placements: Placement is overall good here in this college. Companies like Microsoft, Google, and Intel offer more packages. The average package is around 10 LPA. If you are in core branches, your package will be near average. Almost 90 percent of students get placed every year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was not much good in previous years, but recently many buildings have been newly constructed. A new library has been added to our campus. We have decent infrastructure for sports, gym, and classes. Mess facilities are also well-built, and you can feel comfortable here.
Faculty: I would be honest about the faculty here. Faculty members are good and experienced, but their way of teaching is not as per the requirements. The way they deliver their lectures is average. You will have to study by yourself about 50 percent of the time. But yes, some teachers are excellent.

Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced.
