Overall a good college as it is an NIT.
Placements: As my branch is mechanical engineering, the placement here is quite good, as nearly everyone got placed in big companies. Precisely 90% were placed. The average package is around 9 lacs, which is quite good for a core branch like mechanical engineering, and the highest package here was 19 lacs per annum in mechanical engineering; overall, it was 52 lacs.
Infrastructure: The hostel is the best part of this college, as both hostels here are very good. Both the RNT and the Aryabhatta hostels have good infrastructure. Overall, the infrastructure of the college is good, but the first-year classrooms are not that good; they are just like school classrooms. The mess food in the first year is very bad, but from the second year, you have many options for mess food.
Faculty: The faculty is not that good in our college, except for some professors who are very good. Some professors don't know how to teach students, especially in the first year, but some are good. You have to prepare yourself for the exams using YouTube, and seniors here are very helpful and will guide you.
Other: The overall life here is very good on campus, but its distance from the city is a con. However, the people and friends here are very good, and we just enjoy all day and night, as there are no restrictions for the boys at night. The annual cultural fest here is Moksha. All the clubs are quite active, such as Malhar, Dzire, E-Cell, and NLC.

Faculty members are not very good. A good hostel with other sports facilities. I am satisfied.
Placements: Placements at our college are not very good. They are good enough. The mechanical branch's placement percentage is 83%. The highest salary package offered is 19 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata Motors and also PSUs like HPCL, etc. Our college provides the highest placements in the mechanical branch. Internships for the mechanical branch are tough. Top 5 people in the branch could get internships. Roles in the mechanical branch are offered by PSUs like HPCL, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the hostel is very good, especially for the 1st year students. The RNT Hostel and branch building are good. Every facility is available except air conditioning rooms. Our labs are good. The library is very good. As it is national Institute of importance. The food is not good for 1st year. It is very good for 2nd year onwards. There is a hospital for NIT students. Facilities are not very good. Sports facilities are very top-notch. Every game is played in our college. They have different clubs. Every sport is taught here.
Faculty: Talking about academics, our teachers are highly qualified. Most of them are from their home state and can't speak Hindi properly. They don't put much effort into teaching us. The curriculum is good and always takes ahead for company placements. Our abs are very helpful to gain core knowledge of any branch. Talking about semester exams, we have mid-semester and end-semester exams every semester. Mid-semester exams are conducted for 20 marks. The end-semester exams are conducted for 50 marks. Internals are conducted for 30 marks. The difficulty level of semester exams is good enough. Mostly PYQS PYQS-derived questions are asked. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: Our branch is mechanical engineering. Some seniors in our branch are very good academically and helpful. The only major con of our branch is that we aren't allowed to sit in placements. The placement percentage is 80% in IT companies. The highest salary package offered is 19 LPA. Events and fests are very good. The campus is spread over 365 acres of land. It is good enough to travel and explore it. The connectivity is very poor. The city is around 15 km away from our college. Talking about extracurricular activities, there are around 50 clubs like a drama club named Aaveg and a singing club named Malhar. There are all cultural clubs for every sports club. There is a decent facility for extracurricular activities.

The lesser known facts about NIT Agartala.
Placements: I'm from the batch of 2020-24 pursuing mechanical engineering. About 60-65% students were placed out of 112 students from my batch. The highest package was about 19 LPA, the lowest package was 2.5-3 LPA with an average package LPA of around 5.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our course are Suzuki motors, Tata power, Maruti suzuki, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is very beautiful. Almost every classroom is a smart classroom. Every student was given free 1GB worth of data through Wi-Fi. The labs are pretty great. The hostels of our college are pretty nice. The bathrooms are cleaned regularly. The rooms have enough space for 2. 1st and 2nd year students have to share the room with another student. There is a separate vegetarian canteen along with a mess. The sports complex is huge.
Faculty: The teachers are neither too good nor too bad. Some of the teachers are well qualified but most of them are average in terms of knowledge and lack teaching skills. The course is relevant enough and follows a syllabus similar as that of IITs. There are 2 exams in each semester including one mid term and one end term which are decently tough. Every candidate should score 40 out of 100 in every subject. The 100 marks are including semester exams and internals..
Other: I personally chose this course because I have a keen interest in the Mechanical field. The best thing about my course is that we have the best labs in terms of size and equipments as compared to other branches. Most importantly, the college campus is huge and filled with greenery.

Review of NIT Agartala - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: NIT is very good for placement, and the percentage of students relieving from college was nearly 90 percent. The highest package was 55 LPA, and the lowest was 7 LPA, with an average of 12 LPA in our college. Top companies like Google visited, and nearly 75 percent of students got top roles. The offered role in college was head boy.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college was very good, and 24/7 Wi-Fi was available. Classrooms are very clean, and labs are very nice with upgraded materials. In hostels, the warden was very friendly with all of the students. We will be friendly with wardens.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful to us in problems and asking doubts, etc. Semester exams are not that much difficult; they are very easy if we spend one hour per day. Sirsa will take care of the marks and all. The minimum CGPA required is 7, and the highest is 8.
Other: Our college was very good in placements and nature and also in placements etc.

Overall placements are great and infrastructure is really good, but curriculum is a bit hectic.
Placements: In mechanical (2023 and 2024), nearly 82-86% got placed, and this year (2024) the highest is 40 LPA in a software company. The core companies also offer quite good placements. Many PSUs also come for placement. Well, the average package is somewhere around 8-10 or 11 LPA. The highest in core companies is around 20-22 LPA. And if you are good at coding, then you will get really great opportunities in other software companies also.
Infrastructure: Hostel infrastructure is really good (especially the boys hostel). But the Wi-Fi is really bad. Labs and libraries are tremendous. But the mechanical building is quite old. The mess food is eatable for 1st years, but for 2nd to 4th years, it is very nice. Canteen is also very much available, and there is also the facility of ordering online through a food app.
Faculty: Especially the mechanical professors are really phenomenal. Most of them are Ph.D. and postdoc holders, and they have really good reach and will help the students in many ways. But the overall schedule for classes and labs of 2nd-year students is quite hectic.
Other: Events, fests, and other activities are really up to the mark. Sports facilities are awesome. Crowd is also quite good and very helpful. Scholarships and stipends are all available. NITA has clubs for almost everything, starting from cultural to technical to gaming, entrepreneurship, business, and many more.

    A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Cut-off is published by IIT after the exams but if you wish to get admission in Agartala, then you have to score 180+ in JEE Mains. All the best!
