During the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2022, the National Institute of Technology Agartala was ranked 80 in the Engineering category. Talking about the placement of NIT Agartala, the institute has not released the placement statistics for the batch of 2022. However, the NIRF report 2023 was released recently. As per the NIRF report 2023, a total of 619 students got placement offers.

NIT Agaratala CSE cutoff is based on JEE Main ranks followed by the JoSAA and the CSAB Counselling. According to the NIRF report for 2022 and available data, the placement at NIT Agartala for B.Tech. Is as follows: 1. The average salary package offered to B.Tech graduates is around INR 7 LPA. 2. Around 525 students out of a total of 645 students get campus placement in various companies in the 2021 batch. 3. The graduates have been placed in companies like ALSTOM, Larsen & Toubro, and Capgemini. 4. Some of the students preferred higher studies like MS and PhDs from foreign institutions. 5. The branches like ECE and CSE have been close to 100% in recent years at NIT Agartala.

The BTech course fees at NIT Agartala range between INR 3.5 lakh- INR 5 lakh. The duration of the course is for four to five years. The eligibility for the BTech course is that candidate should have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate. Candidates who want admission need to fill the application form in offline mode. The entrance exam accepted includes JEE Main and JEE Advanced which is followed by JoSSA counselling.

Admission to NIT Agartala is conducted through JEE Main scores. Based on the scores, the National Institute of Technology Agartala cutoff 2024 has been concluded with the release of Round 7 for the General AI category candidates. As per the cutoff released, getting a rank less than 90000 is crucial to increase chances of selection at NIT Agartala. Candidates must score a rank between 26124 and, 117880 for the General AI category.

The easiest course to get eligible for the NIT Agartala with a cutoff rank of 117880 was (Integrated + M.S. in Chemistry). Candidates who want NIT Agartala admissions need to apply online. Candidates are selected through various national-level entrance tests which include IIT JAM, CCMN, JEE Main, GATE, CCMT, NIMCET, MAT, GMAT, CAT, CMAT, etc. NIT Agartala comprises 13 departments that offer more than 20 courses in different streams such as Science, IT and Software, Engineering etc. Candidates are selected through multiple national-level entrance tests for these courses. Admission is provided on the basis of cumulative scores of a qualifying exam, Personal Interview and profile of the candidate.

NIT Agartala offers MTech courses based on GATE CCMT scores. The students get shortlisted on the basis of merit lists and counselling rounds. While the counselling process starts, candidates with their names in the seat allotment list are provisionally admitted to the respective courses. The shortlisted candidates need to report to NIT Agartala within the due date for each counselling round and submit the fees.

After fee submission, candidates are required to verify the required documents to confirm their seats for final admission at NIT Agartala. If the confirmation of admission is not done before the final date, then the allotment will be cancelled.
