Short glimpse of my entire college life.
Placements: Placement in our college is quite low as compared with previous year placements and compared with circutal branches, our branch placements are quite low. Our branch's main advantage is when we are are opting for higher studies.
Infrastructure: Coming to the infrastructure and hostel, facilities are bit good compared to other private hostels and the amenities include washing machines and good facilities of different sports which will make an individual develop his/her interest in any sport .
Faculty: Teachers here are quite experienced and qualified. Teaching methods are quite good if you are choosing metallurgical field. The more you learn the better career opportunities you can get. But it is totally upto the placement season also. Exams are mid semester exams and end semester exams.

NIT rourkela : a view inside out.
Placements: We have nearly 100 percent placement in our college. The highest salary offers was 54 LPA And the lowest lies somewhere between 5-6 LPA. The average placement lies between 12.95 LPA. The top recruiters are JINDAL steel, Tata steel and GAIL. The non core sector include barclays, Google, and Amazon.
Infrastructure: The hostels are spacious and well hygienic. The LAN facility here is helpful. We can learn at any hour from online courses. The library and classrooms are full air conditioned. The mess food is healthy and hygienic. The medical facili of NIT rourkela are unparalleled to any other. The sports and club culture here is except good.
Faculty: The teachers are exceptionally talented and well qualified in every field. The curriculum isn't that relevant. They teach age old methods which are not much applica nowadays. The semester exams are tough and hard to excel. Most of the students here fails academically.
Other: I chose metall and material sciences. This branch has very much scope to excel. So I decided to join this branch. The faculty members are exceptionally talented. The teaching methodologies are age old. The fests and event culture is up to the mark.

Overall you will have a nice experience during your stay in NIT Rourkela.
Placements: I feel the placements in my particular branch are a bit less when compared to other circuital branches. If one wants to pursue research or higher studies in this particular branch then you are good to go. The main advantage of this college is that many will get placed during the placement season.
Infrastructure: While talking about the facilities in my department, there are many useful equipment which makes you excel in your particular domain. The facilities in the hostel are good. While many prefer to eat outside food because mess food won't be that great.
Faculty: Teachers will be very helpful in making you knowledgeable towards particular subject. The teaching quality is very good and all the professors over here are very experienced. Of-course the semester exams are difficult when compared to other colleges and the grading process is a bit tough.
Other: There are many fests taking part in this college.
