BE/BTech with a minimum of 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA in a relevant branch of Engineering is the basic eligibility for M.Tech at NIT Calicut. SC/ST/PwD category candidates need a minimum of 55% aggregate to be eligible for the course. Candidates whose results are awaiting can also take the JEE Main exam. However, such students must have the class 12 pass certificate at the time of admission.

Candidates seeking admission to a BTech course at NIT Calicut must have a valid JEE Main score and shall meet the minimum eligibility criteria. To be eligible to apply for the course, students must pass Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate. To take the entrance test, aspirants need to register online on the NTA website (nta.ac.in). Further, candidates with marks greater than or equal to the cutoff need to take part in JoSAA counselling for the final seat allotment.

• Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) must range between 269 and 316 
• B.Tech. in Engineering Physics must range between 16153 and 16430

NIT Calicut offers a two-year MSc course in three specialisations. The full-time PG course is offered in specialisations, including Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. No, NIT Calicut does not accept NATA scores for admission to the Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) course. The institute offers admission to BArch based on JEE Main paper-II scores only. To get selected for the MBA course at NIT Calicut, candidates are required to qualify for the general eligibility criteria first that states, candidates must qualify for their graduationa and Class 12 with at least an aggregate of 60%. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice. 

The application fees for JEE Main is

• INR 1,000 (Male unreserved/OBC/EWS category)
• INR 800 (Female unreserved/OBC/EWS category)
• INR 500 (SC/ST/PwD/Transgender category)

Candidates have the option of paying the application fee online through credit/debit card and internet banking. The application form will not be considered submitted until the application fees is paid. Once the application fee are paid, candidates receive a confirmation email at their registered email address confirming the payment of fees.
