Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory Subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects in year 2023, 2024 conducted by respective Boards. Candidates should have secured the mentioned marks in the Class 12th examination or be in the top 20 percentile in Class 12th examination conducted by respective Boards. Candidates who are appearing in the Class 12th / equivalent examination in 2025 irrespective of their age, are also eligible. Note: List of qualifying examination(QE): i). Good placements but bad infrastructure.

Placements: This college is mostly known for its placements, and 90% are placed in mechanical engineering this year. Though the packages offered are not very high, most students are getting placed. On-campus placements would show low packages, but off-campus offers higher packages than these.

Infrastructure: As this is one of the oldest NIT colleges, this might not have the infrastructure expected before joining the college. Hostels are not provided for everyone from the 2nd year. But in the first year, every other state student will be provided a hostel.

Faculty: Most of the teachers are very qualified and experienced. But as we know, college is all about learning by oneself, and the professors won't be much help. The difficulty range is of average level, not as high as a few IIT colleges, but they are focusing on the verbal skills of the students.

Other: It is a small campus, but a new campus will be shifting to Naya Raipur. Fests are not very much anticipated, but those that are arranged will be done in a very grand way. Scholarships of different types are always provided.

Really good placements, hostel facilities are disappointing.

Placements: 85 percent of students are placed in our college, and some other students go for higher studies. Placements are really good for all the branches in the college. The highest package for Mechanical is 20 LPA, and the lowest package is 5 LPA. Tata and Bhilai Steel Plant are the top recruiting companies, and many other companies are also present. All students get a chance to do an internship.

Infrastructure: There is a bit of a problem with the hostels. There are only 2 hostels for girls, and hostel accommodation is provided based on merit and distance from your hometown. The Wi-Fi is good in the hostel, and the classrooms are fairly okay. The library has a wide range of books for all branches.

Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and good. Sometimes it's difficult to understand the teachers, but you should prepare for exams from the start. The exams are neither too tough nor too easy. The pass percentage is relatively good, and it is completely based on the CBCS scheme.

Other: In the beginning, I was disappointed to join Mechanical , but later I changed my opinion due to the college atmosphere. You can find good friends and enjoy with them. Events and fests are quite common, and you can enjoy the events. It’s better if you learn skills from teachers irrespective of your course.

Not good infrastructure but quite satisfactory to join because of placements.

Placements: The average package here is about 9 LPA for core branches such as mechanical, electrical, etc. But for branches such as computer science, the average package is about 14 LPA, approximately. Placements are more for computer science branches, while 75% are for noncore branches, and approximately 40% are for biotech and biomed. There are many domestic and multinational companies visiting our college, which can be checked in detail through the NIT website.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is very old and not comparable to other universities. But there is a central library, free Wi-Fi all throughout the campus, and classrooms are equipped with smartboards. There is a canteen, an Indian coffee house, an amul parlour and a vachan parlour with a stationary store available on campus. Sports facilities are not so good. There is a football ground, a cricket ground, and a badminton ground. Medical facilities are available at the college too.

Faculty: Yes, the teachers here are highly qualified, but the students here have to extract the information from the teacher, and the teacher will not be extraordinary in teaching the subject. The college curriculum is not very relevant, as it is a NIT. The curriculum should be more industrially designed. Semester exams are hard but are crackable.

Best institute for engineering.

Placements: Placements are good. Last year, almost 90% of students got their placement offers. The highest salary package offered is 62 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 13 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, GE Healthcare, ZS Associate, Vedanta, Jindal Steel, Tata Steel, Caterpillar, BPCL, etc.

Infrastructure: It was initially a state engineering college, which was converted into NIT later. The infrastructure is not very good. The entire campus has Wi-Fi connectivity including classrooms, labs, and a library. The hostel is not sufficient, and it is allotted on the basis of student's academic performance. The food quality provided by the mess is average.

Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified and well-behaved. All faculty members have Ph.D. in their respective fields. They are very supportive. Most of the courses are industry-relevant, but they need some improvement on it. Semester exams in the college are very easy, and almost 50% of questions are repeated from the past year. Almost all students pass exams.

Other: I chose this course because it has the broadest fields in engineering, offering opportunities in automobile, manufacturing, aerospace, energy, etc. There are a lot of clubs and committees. A few of them are Sanskriti which organizes a cultural fest, Technocracy organizes a technical fest, and Shaurya organizes a sports fest in the college.

Good for those seeking college with low fee, Good placements and a golden infrastrucutre.

Placements: 79.05% get placed in my course. In my course, the highest package is 22 LPA and the lowest package offered is 8 LPA, with an average salary offered at 10 LPA. Vedanta, Tata, Mahindra, Capgemini, Deloitte, Reliance, TVS, TCS, and Bharat Petroleum are the top companies recruiting in my course. About 70% got an internship opportunity in various companies like Bhilai Steel Plant, BPL, Vedanta, Mahindra, TCS, and Tata. Robotics, machine learning, and AutoCAD are the top courses offered in my course.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is very fast and labs are not modernized. Classrooms are good with projectors, and the library has vast resources. Hostels are very limited due to less accommodation. Hostels are allocated based on academic performance and CGPA in exams. Food quality is moderate, edible. Sunday mess is off due to hostel norms.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, experienced; they have earned their Ph.D. from IIT. Yes, the course will ready to make good industrial skills in order to get a job. Moderate pass percentage is 80%. Teachers are very highly skilled, experienced; they are the mentors of every student.

Other: A total of 120 students are divided into 2 parts. Good industrial skills are learned from here, and faculty, curriculum, various fests happen every year. By increasing modern syllabus and job-seeking development skills. Eclectika, Samar, Avartan are various fests and events on campus. Crowd approximately 4800 per every year for 4 years B.Tech, less hygiene, college scholarships available based on academic performance, inter-NITs competitions happen every year.
