Campus life good. Good for CSE, IT And ECE and average for mechanical and electrical.
Placements: Around 70-80% of the students get placed in ECE. The average package offered is around 11.5LPA, the highest is 19.20 LPA and the lowest package offered is 4 LPA to the students of ECE branch in 2024 in the month of September and it is still ongoing. Top recruiting companies are Airtel, Oracle, Nexturn, Microsoft, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not good enough and the campus is also very small but it?'s a beautiful college. There is a good scenic view of the Dal Lake surrounded by the mountains. Overall, it's an average college. Wi-Fi is good and works properly, giving a speed of 1-20 mbps. The labs are also good. Overall, the maximum students got internships. The food quality is not good. The hostel is quite good; usually there are 5-seater rooms in the hostel but a mega hostel is under construction, which is expected to be big and good enough.
Faculty: The professors are well qualified (PhD). Their teaching methods are quite friendly and good. The semester exams depend on the teachers. Some of them are good, while the others have different teaching skills. They have good experience in teaching. Overall, all the professors are good. Semester exams are not too difficult. It is moderate.
Other: According to my JEE rank, this option is the best. ECE has a good future. Usually events are held at NIT Srinagar.

College is good for the students who want to spend time with nature.
Placements: The highest package is 19 LPA per annum, the lowest package is 6.20 LPA and the average package is 11 LPA. Through the year, many companies came to college to hire students and give placements. Many new abilities are required for getting placements.
Infrastructure: In the National Institute of Technology, Srinagar, there are 7 boys hostels named Mansar, Jhelum, Manasbal, PG Hostel, Chennai, Indus, and Tawi. Hostels are generally 5 to 6 persons per room. Campus is fully Wi-Fi and there you need a postpaid SIMcard.
Faculty: Yes, teachers of the institute are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. They teach well, but as we know, we need to self-study. Classrooms are well maintained and clean. Exams are conducted twice in a semester. And just learn new things.

Dissatisfied with the core placements.
Placements: The placement percent of our college remains steady at 60-70% but the only problem is that placement takes place in the CSE/IT branch. Core companies for ECE and electrical, etc. don't visit the campus much. Even if they do, only a few used to get placement.
Infrastructure: To be honest, the Wi-Fi facility at our college is average; at some places you can even SEE video at 8K, and many at the campus there is no Wi-Fi. Our library is well-equipped with Wi-Fi. For our ECE department, we don't have a VLSI lab till date and a lot more facilities are missing. The quality of food is good as compared to those served at Kotak Mess. We don't have much to complain about about the food facility; they provide us food 4 times a day and its consumable; they provide us chicken approximately. 3 days a week, medical facilities are below average, not much equipments and sports facilities are good you can play anytime between 6 am and 9 pm at the playground and obviously you can even play at 3 am badminton with your friends but not at the playground.
Faculty: Coming to the most important part, the course curriculum will only make you complete 3 idiots. That's the truth. It will only result in mugging. The teachers are qualified; no problem with that but from 2nd year, the teachers are very strict; they can even make you fail for 1 mark. It makes you industry-ready. You have to do coding to get placement from NIT Srinagar; that's the truth. Almost all students pass the exam. Papers are set up by the concerned faculty itself and they directly come from notes. The main problem starts from the 5th semester onwards, as most of the students get backlogs from the 5th semester in the ECE, electrical department.
Other: I chose this course because I came to know that ECE will have a bright future scope. The best thing about this course is we learn to make microchips and gain knowledge about robotics, which is important in today's AI generation. If there were more facilities like the VLSI design lab and faculty were not very strict, and if we got in-depth core knowledge. Events are held on regular basis, and if you participate, you can get certificates, which improves your resume many outsiders also participate in these events Recently, there was the biggest festival of this year at NIT Srinagar (techvaganza)connectivity is good, the alumni network is strong here, and yes, they provide us with scholarships like NSP and FFP by notifying us students about it. Extracurricular activities are arranged here in the form of events. Many students participate in these events.

NIT Srinagar college facility.
Placements: Students placed in NIT Srinagar in ECE branch are 60-70%. The highest package of ECE is 19.20lpa. The average package is 11.20 lpa, and the lowest package is 6.20 lpa. Top recruiting companies are Tata, Reliance, Wipro, Google, Microsoft, etc. Students in their first year are very few who got internships.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, but it's very old. Available facilities are wi-fi, and labs are good. Medical facilities are nice, and every problem is solved here. Sports facilities are at a moderate level. Some sports are played at a higher level, but not every sport.
Faculty: Teachers are very friendly and really helpful in the first year. Every teacher has great knowledge, not only about studies but also about startups. Semester exams are easy to moderate level. In the first year, almost 99% of students passed, but after the first year, this will not happen.
Other: Events will be 1-2 in one month.

NIT Srinagar: The cursed and outdated NIT.
Placements: Only 30-35% of students got placed in 2024! The highest package was 24 LPA offered by Samsung R&D. The average package was 6 LPA! Most of the students got placed in mass recruiters and service-based companies! Only CSE and IT students have a good percentage of placements!
Infrastructure: The college is very small compared to other old NITs. Labs also lack basic equipment; a lot of devices don't even work! The college has no open Wi-Fi for students, and even the LAN connection doesn't work in this college! Hostels are spacious and good!
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified but are very egoistic and don’t even support you if you want to pursue something other than academics! The course curriculum is also very outdated, like most Indian engineering colleges. They focus more on theoretical subjects rather than practical skills! Exams are difficult as the paper standard is very good!
Other: I chose this course as I want to go into hardware, but the college lacks labs and infrastructure that provide those resources! A better practical approach to the course should be adopted! Events and fests are dead here; college authorities don’t even care about events and other activities; they are very conservative! Sports activities are also held very occasionally! Overall, if you have a low JEE score, then this should be your last priority!

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.
