Satisfied with the good placements but infrastructure and facilities are not good.

Placements: Placements are good in NIT Raipur as reputed tier-2 companies (like UHG, Samsung, Drishti, CA Tech, etc.) hire from our campus every year. Also getting placements in the tier -3 companies is not a big deal (like Infosys, Wipro, etc.). So those students who don't have any backlog get easily placed. In my senior batch, almost 80% of the students get placed. The highest salary from my senior batch is of 27 LPA who is from IT branch ( offered by Amazon). The average salary package from our CSE branc...

Satisfied with the infrastructure excluding labs. The curriculum is average. Placements are dull.

Placements: 1) Placements were not sufficient for our senior batch only 18 out of 80 were placed, of which 6 were in core companies. 2) 3.25 LPA minimum and 9 LPA maximum (approximately) were offered. 3) TCS, Infosys, UHG, Vedanta, Hindustan Copper Limited visited for placements. 4) Very basic roles in companies were allocated to the students. 5) This year, the internship of third-year students was far better than previous years. Around 10-12 companies offered internships to our batch. 6) As this is me...

Satisfactory till now but improving day by day.

Placements: Placement for my senior batch is good so far. The highest package offered till date is 32 LPA. A few are placed with a package of 10-12 LPA. The average package is around 5-6 LPA. Till now companies like Amazon, Coal India, UHG, Vedanta, Mu Sigma, Infosys, etc. have visited our campus. About the internship, our college invited various companies for 2nd and 3rd-year students for internships also. Our training and placement cell works throughout the year for inviting companies to visit our campu...

Being a institute of national importance, I would recommend taking admission in NIT Raipur.

Placements: Placements overall are increasing day by day. NIT Raipur provides the maximum placements in central India which includes NIT Bhopal, Nagpur and few other NITs. CSE/IT placements are really remarkable. Companies like Microsoft also have recruitments from NIT Raipur. The scope of internships is also very good.

Placements: Placements were good. If you have the attitude, you will get placed. Companies look for students with technical as well as communication skills, and the salaries offered varied from 4 LPA to 10 LPA. 50-60% students placed. Most of the students got placed as a Junior Technical Engineer.

Good at studies and cultural activities. 100% placements for IT and CSE.

Placements: Regarding placements, it's up to you and how you perform in your interview, but as per the college, the mechanical branch has an ample number of companies that visit the college for placements. In my batch, 40/90 students were placed (till February). The highest salary is about 9 lakh and the lowest is about 3.5 lakh. Companies that have visited our college are L&T, MARUTI, TATA, Vedanta, Coal India, Mu Sigma, Techquie, UHG, Infosys, Cognizant, TCS, Fiat, Reliance, Jindal Steel, TATA Power et...

A logical and a pretty apt review.

Placements: The placements for the CS and IT department have been extremely effective. Till date in the month of January, about 82 out of 92 students have been placed. The average package has risen to about 7-7.5 LPA. Similarly, for the core companies, the placements are less in number but are still increasing considerably.

Placements: Overall, the placements were good in our branch. 10 out of 34 students got placed i.e. 30 percent. The companies include Mu Sigma, Infosys, Cognizant and GE. IT companies came but no core companies came this year. The placements are good and all deserving students were placed. 31 percent boys and 30 percent girls got placed.

It was an amazing experience, mostly because of crowd and placements.

Placements: For the summer internship, a few firms visited the campus including Samsung R&D Bangalore, Belzabar Noida, etc. The college internships were not the usual norm, near about 50 % students got the internship from the campus process. But, all students did get an internship in India as well as abroad. For the final placements, many companies participated in the process, especially for computer science and information technology branches. The companies include Samsung Noida, Samsung Bangalore, Belzaba...

Placements: Don't expect really good placements here. This place is for you if you want to do self-preparation for government jobs or ESE. 3 to 4 students out of 12 are placed, some in the field of research and some in teaching. Good project work may lead you to IIT's for PhD. L&T, Infosys, Amazon and many more visited the campus. The average salary offered is Rs. 5.5 lacks.

Growing Fast, Decent Placements, Mediocre Infra

Placements: Placements are pretty decent compared to other NITs of this bracket (including NIT Durgapur, NIT Jalandhar, NIT Jamshedpur etc.) In CS, IT and Electronics Dept. majority of the batch gets placed i.e. around 60-70 out of a batch of 85-90. In core branches this number lies around 40 and in rare branches like Metallurgy, Mining etc. it's about 30. The relatively less shiny placements in non-IT branches can be accounted to the current economic slowdown, which however is the case with all colleges. ...

A student can always approach any teacher to get his/her doubts cleared. The college location is just at the center of the city. Accommodation in the campus is still a big problem which badly affects academics and extracurricular of the students. There are only one or two food joints within the campus.

NIT Raipur is the leading central institute in Chhattisgarh. Established in the year 1956, this college has been converted into NIT since 2007. Prior to this, it was GEC Raipur. The first thing one looks for in a college is its infrastructure and campus. Campus-wise, it is not as huge as private colleges but it is still beautiful in a small campus way. The view of NIT from its central gate is breathtaking. There is a lot of improvement on the infrastructural front. This year, the institute ha...
