Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Review Sinhgad College of Engineering, vadgaon bk.
Placements: They conduct STP sessions, which are totally useless. Colleges just have a below-avg placement in them and nearly no placements in core, but decent placements in the IT sector with 3-5 LPA salaries. Not very high-profile jobs are offered here, so don’t expect too much.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is too old. It needs to be renovated as quickly as possible. There are a lot of boys’ hostels in the campus, which are also not too good, but it’s like okay, okay. There are so many trees and greenery in the college, and it has a lot of CCTV cameras and guards at the gate.
Faculty: The some teachers are very good , some are average, and some of the teachers are totally creepy. They are just there to watch students suffer and not grow. They just play with students’ minds as they find it more joyful. Attendance is not so strict overall.
Other: There are a lot of crowds on campus, but the campus is big and has everything in it.

Absolutely satisfied because of the faculty and placements.
Placements: In my department, the average package is 5 lakhs, and the highest is 20 lakhs. A student scoring above 7.5 CGPA secures good placements. Almost 70-80% of students get placed if they have good academic scores, confidence, and skills. The college does not provide internships; we have to find them on our own, either with help from teachers or through our own connections. Seniors also guide us regarding internships.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of my department are quite good. They have reliable Wi-Fi connections, and the labs contain all the necessary equipment. The hostel facilities are decent, but there are some inconveniences. The rooms in my hostel are not very spacious. There is one big courtyard where we can play sports like badminton. The security of the girls' hostel is quite good. The food available in the mess is not great, but it is edible, with only 4-5 varieties of vegetables. There is no non-veg served in the mess, and dinner is not available on Sundays.
Faculty: The teachers in our department are all qualified, having completed their Masters and Ph.D. They are helpful and always provide guidance. Some teachers are strict, and you have to follow their instructions. They also assist during practical exams. The semester exams are not that difficult, and one can achieve good marks if they study thoroughly. The passing criteria require scoring 40% of the total marks.

Good campus, but the teaching is poor.
Placements: 60% of students are in our course this year. Top companies are Accenture and many more. The top roles are management and many more. The lowest package is 3.5 lpa, and the average is 4.5 to 6.5 lpa. We have to find our own internships; colleges don't help us find internships.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi doesn't work properly in college. Hostel Wi-Fi works sometimes. Some labs are good but teachers don't have knowledge about the lab. The library is good. Hostel facilities are good; don't eat mess food; the canteen is good; medical facilities are not good; sports are average.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful, are qualified and have knowledge, but they don't know how to deliver. Teaching quality is poor; teachers want only attendance, even if they don't know how to teach. The curriculum is irrelevant but it is the fault of the university, not the college.
Other: Nothing is good about this course. Everything should be improved. Extracurriculars are good.

SCOE - A good start for a bright FUTURE!
Placements: Around 70% of students are placed with 200+ companies that visit campus for placement drives. The highest package of the 2024 batch is 45 LPA in Microsoft, and the average package is around 4 LPA. For 2024, Capgemini, TCS, and VI have the most students placed.
Infrastructure: SCOE has around 25 hostels around campus. In a hostel, in one room, 3 students live with facilities including beds, study tables, chairs, hot and cold water, and Wi-Fi. The hostel provides a mess of hostel feels, and that will be around 70K. Also, we have 2 grounds for sports activities.
Faculty: A teacher is very good in the manner of teaching and subject knowledge, and overall experience with teaching is good. In our depth, all teachers are very approachable inside the class and outside as well. For your department, the ENTC syllabus is likely outdated; the concept should be upgraded to industry standards, but it's under SPPU, so it applies to all the colleges except autonomous colleges.
Other: In college, we arranged the Karandak Fest, Pune's biggest fest. Around 1000 students attended it, and many students participated in it.

Great campus but faculty members issue was very big. Not satisfied with the management.
Placements: In our college, our batch is placed with average package of 6 LPA due to college prestige. Jio, Aloha, Infosys, LTI, Wipro, etc. high-priced companies are coming due to college reputation and also due to college taking programs for doing internships in various high-profile companies (Cisco, etc.). Software engineer and programme developers are the roles offered in various companies.
Infrastructure: College having various and specific infrastructure and having various buildings for classrooms, libraries, etc. These facilities are provided by a quality college hostel, which has very nice hygienic facilities. Sports and games are also conducted by the college at the inter-level.
Faculty: Faculty members are very well qualified but they are left with improper management at the college. We are not able to connect with faculty members; they are not aware of university exams so students are facing problems passing exams. 60% of students passed the exam. The course curriculum is not updated.
