Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

2 years at Thakur College of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: About 40% of students were placed, out of which 20% were placed off-campus. Top recruiting companies such as TCS come to our college. The highest package was about 10 lakhs, the lowest was about 2 lakhs, and the average package was about 3 to 4 lakhs per annum. The rules, such as marketing, are offered by the company.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi service available in each and every classroom, and even well-maintained library and reading rooms are allotted with Ethernet connections and good lab services. Mess and canteen services are pretty well-maintained, and hygienic food is available.
Faculty: The curriculum is very relevant for people who are applying for jobs in industries or companies. The teachers are highly qualified, and some of them have IIT degrees. Each and every teacher makes their own PowerPoint presentation for each and every topic. The semester exams are good, and the passing percentage is about 90%.
Other: The fest is not that great.

Thakur College is a good institute.
Placements: Many different types of companies visit here to offer good placements. Teachers also help students to understand every part of the placements. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA, which is good. The highest salary package offered in our batch is 12 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: There are good labs and nice classrooms to study in. They also have lots of space and are comfortable. But there is no Wi-Fi for students. Recent years have seen a tremendous increase in the demand for civil engineering, which is mainly because of the exponential growth in the sector of infrastructure and the allied industry. This has also added to the increased demand in the R&D and education sector. Responding to the need of the hour, the institute has started the department of civil engineering from the academic year 2014-2015 with an intake of 120 students. The infrastructure is excellent no matter in which branch you study. There is never be a problem with lack of facilities. But Wi-Fi is not provided to students and even at this time. Our college is known for exorbitant fees and lots of fee donation students, so funds never become low.
Faculty: Faculty members here sometimes behave badly, but they help us in our exams and studies. They also teach us in a good manner.
Other: Thakur College of Science celebrates an annual cultural festival named Goonj-Ek-Aagaaz. The main aim is to enhance social interaction and facilitate the exchange of cultural ideas and thoughts. It is a platform which emphasis students to utilise their creative skills efficiently and to show their talent through various performance. This fest gives exemplary opportunities for students to build their confidence.

TCET is a unique college with high-quality teachers and opportunities for making connections.
Placements: More than 60 percent of students are placed from our college, but people go for higher studies in India or abroad or join their fathers' businesses. Packages average between 3 Lacs and 9 Lacs, depending on their performance. Top recruiting companies include Infosys and roles in Quality Management, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college is super cool and very well-built in my perspective. We have various labs such as the Fluid Mechanics Lab, BMC Lab, and many more for each subject, each class, and libraries and facilities, all of which are fully air-conditioned. The quality of food in the canteen is hygienic, acceptable, and cheap.
Faculty: Teachers are very supportive of us in both studies and sports. They are highly skilled and help us in research work and even in our personal entrepreneurship development. We have weeks assigned for skill development in ESD, etc. And definitely, this curriculum makes us industry-ready. The pass percentage is more than 5 CGPA.
Other: I chose this course because I see my father, who is a hard-working civil engineer, and chose this college because it has a sports department.

It is a very good college in all aspects.
Placements: Placements are very good. Very famous and big companies visit here for recruiting students. There is a training and placements cell in the college that takes care of all the placement-related work. It also works very well. Most of the students here get good placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is very good. The classrooms and the laboratories are also very well designed. The atmosphere inside the college is very beautiful. I am a day scholar, so I do not about hostel facilities. But, I have heard from my friends that the hostel is also very good.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful and knowledgeable. They help the students with every difficulty they face. The college is autonomous, so the curriculum is designed as per the companies requirement. Semester exams are based on the theoretical as well as practical knowledge of the student.
Other: There are many fests and technical events in this college. I opted for this course, because of my interest in it.

Decent engineering college in Kandivali.
Placements: It is a good college for placement. Thakur College of Engineering teaches employability skills to students to get employed outside of college. They teach AutoCAD, Staad Pro, C+, Jawa, and data analysis to teach the students about skills in the industry.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at the Thakur College of Engineering is very good; the college has a good canteen and the staff is amazing. They provide 400 MB of free Wi-Fi internet connection to the students. It is of good speed and is usable inside and outside the campus.
Faculty: The faculty is decent at this college; some are inexperienced and some are good. Not all are good but still, it works. Exams are easier because of the autonomous authority. They make their own question paper, which is usually easier than the Mumbai University paper.
Other: Overall, a decent college but the fees are high.
