Review for VIIT, Pune College.
Placements: Most of the students get placed in my college, around 90-95%, while the rest opt for Masters or have their own startup. The highest and the lowest packages I have known so far are 40 LPA and 8 LPA, respectively. The top companies which visit my college are NVIDIA and Microsoft, and the majority of the students get internships as well as junior software dev roles.
Infrastructure: The facilities and the infrastructure of the college are great, and the departments are well maintained with excellent services and hospitality. The admin dept is known for its fast services for the students. The quality of the food available is okay, but all the other things like sports and medical are great.
Faculty: The faculty teachers are quite qualified and knowledgeable, and at the top of the work they do. The syllabus and the curriculum are well defined according to industry standards, while the exams conducted in the college at the end of the semester are of standard difficulty.
Other: I chose B.Tech in Computer Engineering because I am a technophile and want to build my own tech company in the near future. Even though I feel that the structure of my course is well defined, I still think there's some room for improvement in the structure of the education portals the college uses.

Review for CSE department.
Placements: This course is known for there good placement ratio as compared to other courses. This course has the highest package of 34 LPA and an average package of 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Oracle, Nvidia, Accenture, Syngenta, and Teach Mahindra come for campus placements. All of the students get internships in companies like Control S, Atlas Copco, Syngenta, Teach Mahindra, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is well. Wi-Fi is present on the campus. Labs have all experiential setup and updated PCs. The classrooms are neat and clean. College Library is present where we can access all curricular and competitive exam books. The hostel facility is only for campus girls. All other private hostels are there. In the mess and Canteen food quality is good. Sports activities were organized regularly.
Faculty: The teachers of the course are very helpful and knowledgeable. They encourage students to be involved in projects, paper publications, and patents. The course curriculum is designed according to industry needs. It helps students to survive easily in the industry. The difficult level of exams is easy to moderate level.
Other: This course has huge opportunities in the market. Enough to learn in this course. Events were organized regularly on the college campus. Campus surroundings are eco-friendly. The scholarship was provided to students through MahDbt.

Discovering VIIT: A Visitor's Perspective.
Placements: Eligibility criteria for placement are mostly provided by the recruiters. Some big names are there, like Amazon, NVIDIA, Infosys, and more. The highest package went around 32 LPA for the year 2022-23. The average package is around 8 LPA, and 82% of students got placed (on-campus + off-campus + entrepreneur + higher education). My focus is to develop the skillset required to work in the video games industry and then the rest.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for Computer Engineering at VIIT is impressive and highly conducive to learning. The classrooms are well-equipped with modern teaching aids such as projectors, smart boards, and audio-visual systems, ensuring an interactive and engaging learning experience. The lecture halls are spacious, well-lit, and air-conditioned, providing a comfortable environment for students. The campus boasts state-of-the-art laboratories that are essential for practical learning and research. The labs are well-maintained and equipped with the latest instruments and technology, allowing students to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills effectively. Additionally, the computer labs are stocked with high-speed internet and updated software, which are crucial for assignments and projects.
Faculty: I mainly opted for computer engineering because of my interest in video games. I want to work in the field of video games in the future. Being an autonomous institute, VIIT has a well-planned curriculum that could help students work on their skills. I think that the fee is on the higher side, and anyone opting for this college should look out for a scholarship (refer to MahaDBT portals). Talking about exams, each semester has two term exams, and the difficulty is moderate. The faculty also does a good job of teaching, and if you have any issues, then it is easy to approach faculty.
Other: The biggest fest of the college, "Gandharva," is organized in February. You can get books and journals on campus itself. Sports and extracurricular activities are also organized from time to time. The college has a hostel, and registration is easy for that, but I opted for a private hostel (in Sainagar) for living so I could save some money.

The honest review of CSE department.
Placements: For the CSE course, 80 to 90 percent of students get placement offers in the final year. The course has the highest package of 33 LPA the average package of 5 LPA and the lowest package of 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, and Tech Mahindra came for campus placements.
Infrastructure: The facilities at the college are good. The classrooms are neat and clean. Wi-Fi is present on the college campus. Labs have all the experiential setup. The well-stocked library was present. Along with this, reading rooms and tutorial rooms are also there. The food quality in the canteen and mess is hygienic and affordable. The sports room is there at the college.
Faculty: The teachers of this course are well qualified from top colleges. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is industry-relevant; it helps students get industry-ready. The semester exams are easy to moderate. Almost all of the students get passed.
Other: I have been interested in programming since my 12th grade; that's why I chose this course. It also has a bright future in India for CS graduates. We require analytical and problem-solving skills. In the college, there are many events, competitions, and hackathons organized. The campus surrounding it is very good. Scholarships were provided by the state government.

Overall, it's a good private college.
Placements: Over 120+ companies visited the campus, and 1500+ students were placed (as per the official college website). The highest package for the year 23-24 was reported to be 54 LPA, with the average being approximately 7.8 LPA. The number of students placed is slightly less, around 70 percent, since some students opt for higher studies, some have their own startups, and others do not qualify as per company requirements.
Infrastructure: VIIT college does have a sports ground that is available for everyone, but it is mostly empty; students are not interested in sports. Very few students have sports teams, and they do represent the college in their respective sports. The infrastructure is average—not very bad, but not very good either. Considering the fees, they literally ask you to buy a 1.5k kit and other accessories, excluding a calculator and other basic items, despite charging 200k from students per year.
Faculty: The teachers are very cooperative and decently qualified. However, you would need to study alongside your ongoing college syllabus. Though VIIT is an autonomous institute and SPPU affiliated, its syllabus is not very up-to-date.

Students also asked

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.
