Q:   Is VIT Pune good for M.E./M.Tech?

A:

Here's what current and former students have to say:

Pros:

* Autonomous college with well-qualified and knowledgeable faculty members (almost all PhD holders)
* Industry-exposed courses with a focus on practical applications
* Good opportunities for internships (90% of students got one) with companies like Tata Communications Ltd, Emerson, Philips, etc.
* Faculty members are supportive and willing to help students
* State-of-the-art infrastructure with modern facilities
* Cultural and technical events like Gandharva, Aavishkar, Robocon, Hackathon, etc. for overall development

Cons:

* Placements for M.Tech students are limited compared to undergraduate programs
* No WiFi access for students (only for faculty members)
* Canteen options could be improved
* Limited space for conducting lectures in some cases

Conclusion:
While VIIT Pune offers a strong foundation for pursuing higher education, particularly in engineering, students considering the institution for M.E./M.Tech must weigh the pros and cons carefully. While the college excels in providing industry exposure, supporting faculty members, and good infrastructure, it falls short when it comes to placements for postgraduate students. It's essential to research and evaluate the college's performance in recent years before making an informed decision.

It is a good autonomous engineering college in Pune.
Placements: Due to the Covid pandemic, the placements for us were equal to zero. But our college did arrange campus placement drives by 2-3 companies, but unfortunately, we didn't go forward due to covid. During my final year, we were given good exposure to the industry by allowing us to undergo internships in reputed firms.
Infrastructure: Our campus is huge. A lot of development is being made. All the departments have spacious classrooms and well-equipped labs. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. It has a state-of-the-art library. The hostel facilities are good with all the necessary amenities. The canteen remains an issue as you may not find a lot many options.
Faculty: As it is an autonomous college, the faculty members are well qualified, and almost all of them are PhD holders. They possess good knowledge of their subjects and are ready to help. This college is autonomous, and it has its own updated curriculum that is well relevant to the industry needs.
Other: The college offered me a very advanced course in M.Tech structures, available in only a few colleges in Maharashtra. The best part is that it is very practical and application-oriented. I got exposure to many university-level events, and the college holds cultural events named Gandharva, Aavishkar, and technical events like Robocon, Hackathon etc. All these are good for students' overall development.

Review of Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology.
Placements: Placements in our college are good for some branches. Some branches do not have good placement facility, and it needs to improve it. Our college should invite some companies to recruit students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college provides facilities like different buildings, well-equipped labs, enough parking, good hostel facility, good roads and garden in and around the campus. All the things are well-maintained here.
Faculty: Faculty members teach us very well. All the faculty members are supportive. Even the non-teaching staff members are supportive. They are very generous towards the students. All the things are good at Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology. The quality of education provided by the college is good.

Q:   Is VIIT Pune Tier 1 or tier 2?

A:

Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology (VIIT) in Pune is generally considered a Tier 2 engineering college in India. Tier classification of engineering colleges in India is often based on various factors including academic reputation, infrastructure, faculty quality, research output, and placement opportunities.

While VIIT Pune is well-regarded for its engineering programs and has a good reputation within the region, it may not be classified as a Tier 1 engineering college by some rankings or criteria. Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.
