Review of Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli.
Placements: Placement rate at our college is pretty good. Almost 90%-95% of students manage to secure placements by end of their final year. Salary packages offered are decent. Top-notch companies visit to hire students from this college, which is considered one of best colleges in Maharashtra.
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi facilities available 24/7 across our college campus, which spans 90 acres. We offer almost all sports facilities, including cricket, volleyball, basketball, football, and badminton courts. Additionally, there are a total of three canteens throughout the campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are very cooperative. We students don't hesitate to ask any of our queries, and faculty members are always open to solving our doubts. This course does indeed make us industry-ready. We have two examinations in each semester: one mid-semester exam and one end-semester exam. Total passing marks for each subject are 40 out of 100.

Best college. I recommend this as the best college.
Placements: 85 to 90% of students were placed by Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli. The highest package is INR 52 LPA, with an average package of 15-20 LPA. Many students receive internships from top companies. Placement statistics may vary from year to year. For the most up-to-date information, I recommend checking the college's website or contacting the college directly (Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli).
Infrastructure: The college offers 24x7 Wi-Fi and water supply, with separate hostels for boys and girls. Rooms are available on a sharing basis (4 girls per room), and there are hygienic mess facilities. The hostel fee is ₹25,000 per annum, and the mess fee is ₹2,500 per month. Hostel mess is mandatory for hostel students.
Faculty: The faculty is excellent. Some faculty members are very helpful (e.g., Kiran Madhale Sir and Bashir Jamadar Sir). Exams held by the college require a score of 40/100 for passing, with a minimum of 20 marks required in each section.
Other: There are many events held by the college and its clubs, including Freshers' Party, Gym, DJ Night, Garba Nights, Walchand Eve, Halloween Day, Bollywood Day, Traditional Day, Back to School Day, and Dipostav.

The placements here are absolutely great. The college campus and the hostels are amazing.
Placements: Good placements are offered at this college for the mechanical engineering branch. Out of 75 students in our batch, almost 60–63 got placed. The top recruiting companies are Cooper, Siemens, Atlas Copco, Whirlpool, Eaton, Schneider Electric, etc. The packages range from 5 LPA to 12 LPA. Not many internships are offered here; only 20–25 students got internships, but the placements are exceptional. The top roles offered here are in design and many more.
Infrastructure: The classrooms have Wi-Fi, projectors, and smart screens. Our college is accredited with the NAAC and NBA. The labs are equipped with all the basic facilities, but there is a lack of new machinery. Even if we have CNC and 3D printers, they are either not working or not available for student use. We have the biggest library with all the books you need. The hostel here has the best surroundings, with lush greenery. The hostels may not be of the utmost quality, but they are good to live in. The environment is cool all around. The mess food is not good, but there are some pretty good mess options just outside the campus.
Faculty: The teachers here are pretty qualified with Ph.D.s and have 15–25 years of experience. Not helpful at all except for 2–3 teachers. The curriculum here has been updated, but not by the faculty present here. But hey, it won't affect your placements; at last, you study all on your own. An employability program is introduced to make you industry-ready. Exams are at a pretty good level, testing your knowledge, and it also depends on the course teacher. Note: Don't mess with the teachers here; they hold grudges.
Other: Mechanical engineering here would be great if you could get all the facilities (which would require a lot of hardships and permission, too). The events here are the best, especially the annual gathering that lasts for over 2 weeks. There are also many events organized by various clubs, which are really great. Participating in them is very helpful. As a mechanical engineer, I participate in the BAJA event, which teaches you almost half of your engineering.

WCE is a really good college. We get all basic facilities.
Placements: In mechanical, there are 80% placements. The highest package goes around 14 LPA and the lowest goes around 3.5 LPA. Companies like Tata Motors, Dassault System, Atlas Copco, Mahindra and Toyota Engineering are the top recruiting companies in our college. Some students are also placed in software companies.
Infrastructure: The facilities are better in the hostel. Wi-fi connectivity is very good in hostels as well as in the full campus area. The classroom infrastructure is also good. Walchand College has the biggest library. Its infrastructure is awesome. Hostel mess is compulsory for hostel students and the quality is better. Hostel Mess provides breakfast, lunch and dinner. Overall, it's good. In college, a medical facility dispensary is available for all students.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. We can ask them to clear our doubts at any time and they will respond to us. Well-qualified and well-experienced teachers. They have much knowledge about their subjects and they love to share that knowledge with us. Semesters are quite difficult but if we have knowledge about the subject, then we can clear this up.
Other: There are very nice events at our college, like ASG. In ASG, there are annual functions and sports. This is the biggest event at WCE. The WCE campus is very beautiful and too large. It's 109 acres. On campus, we get to see peacocks, squirrels and many more birds. The atmosphere is very nice. In WCE, there are many clubs for our skills and knowledge development. It is very helpful to us.

I'm not satisfied with some of the faculty; otherwise, the whole college is better.
Placements: 80-90 percent of students from my batch were placed in various companies. The highest package was 12.5 Lacs, and the average package for mechanical placement is 7.5-8 Lacs per annum. Yes, students get internships also in various multinational companies. It has a very good PPO after the completion of the internship.
Infrastructure: Academic Infrastructure: Well-equipped classrooms with multimedia projectors and modern teaching aids, specialized engineering laboratories for each department, including computer labs, electronics labs, mechanical workshops, etc. A central library with over 80,000 books.
Faculty: Teaching Faculty: Most faculty members hold Ph.D. degrees or are pursuing doctoral studies. Many professors have industry experience and research publications. The teaching quality varies by department but is generally considered above average. Faculty members are typically accessible for doubt-solving and guidance. Many professors are involved in research projects and consultancy work.
Other: Notable Strengths: Strong brand value as one of Maharashtra's oldest and most reputed engineering colleges. Excellent placement record with top companies visiting campus. High-quality technical education with an emphasis on practical learning. Strong alumni network across various industries. Affordable education compared to private colleges. The merit-based admission process ensures a quality peer group.
