Q: I am a class 12th board topper. Do I need to participate in BITSAT counselling or will I be offered direct admission to BITS?
For BITSAT admissions, the top-rank holders in central and state board exams will not be required to participate in the centralized counselling process. They will be offered direct admission in courses offered at BITS campuses. The minimum eligibility required by the board exam toppers for admissions into the B.Tech courses offered by the BITS campuses is an aggregate of 75% marks in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology with at least 60% marks in each subject. Q: What is the meaning of Iteration rounds in BITSAT counselling?
In the BITSAT counselling, iteration rounds are equivalent to the seat allotment rounds. During every iteration, the authorities will announce the BITSAT seat allotment results for the qualified and registered candidates. Selection of candidates for the iterations are done based on their rank and the preferences that they submit during the counselling registration process. After every BITSAT iteration, the candidates will be informed about their allotted B.Tech course and campus allotted and details to confirm their admission.
Q: When will BITSAT counselling begin?
BITSAT 2025 counselling dates have not been announced yet. All qualified candidates will have to participate in the counselling process for admission into the participating campuses of BITS. The authorities will allot seats based on the candidate's rank, preferences and seat availability. All candidates will be required to confirm their admission before the final date.
