BITSAT 2025 Counselling: Dates, Registration, Seat Allotment, Admission Process

BITSAT 2025 counselling dates have not been announced yet. All qualified candidates will have to participate in the counselling process for admission into the participating campuses of BITS. While filling out the BITSAT counselling form, the candidates will have to provide various personal and academic details. Some of the important details that need to be submitted in the counselling form of BITSAT are - candidate's name, email address, mobile number, address, 12th standard qualifying examination marks, etc. All of the provided details should be valid and as per the documents possessed by the candidates.

While registering for the BITSAT counselling process, the candidates will have to pay the required fee. The BITSAT counselling fee for all candidates is INR 1,000. The fee payment can be done online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card or offline at the ICICI bank branches with a specially generated pay-in-slip. If the candidates are not able to make the payment, then they will not be able to participate in the BITSAT counselling process.

If the candidates are not able to confirm their category during the verification, then they will not be allowed to take admission in the respective category. During the admission process, the authorities will release the BITSAT admit list and wait list online. The official BITSAT admit and wait list will be released as Iterations. BITSAT admit list will consist of the names of the candidates who have cleared the minimum cut off criteria for admission. On the other hand, the BITSAT wait list will consist of the names of all the candidates who will be called in for admission in the next round, in case a candidate withdraws his/her seat.

In the BITSAT counselling, iteration rounds are equivalent to the seat allotment rounds. During every iteration, the authorities will announce the BITSAT seat allotment results for the qualified and registered candidates. Selection of candidates for the iterations are done based on their rank and the preferences that they submit during the counselling registration process. After every BITSAT iteration, the candidates will be informed about their allotted B.Tech course and campus allotted and details to confirm their admission.

For BITSAT admissions, the top-rank holders in central and state board exams will not be required to participate in the centralized counselling process. They will be offered direct admission in courses offered at BITS campuses. The minimum eligibility required by the board exam toppers for admissions into the B.Tech courses offered by the BITS campuses is an aggregate of 75% marks in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology with at least 60% marks in each subject. BITS Pilani, Hyderabad and Goa campuses offer admissions based on BITSAT scores. There is no other examination that the candidates can appear for to get B.Tech admissions into the participating four campuses. It is essential for the candidates to register, attempt and qualify BITSAT if they wish to study under BITS. However, direct admissions are provided to the board exam toppers. These candidates should have ranked at the top of the board exams and should meet the minimum eligibility criteria specified by the authorities.

Candidates will be able to register for the BITSAT direct admission online at bitsadmission.com. However, the direct admission will be open only for those candidates who are the toppers of their respective board exams. Along with being a board topper, the candidates will also have to meet the basic eligibility criteria of BITSAT. If these criteria are met, the candidates will be able to apply for the direct admissions into the BTech courses offered by the participating campuses of BITS.

During the BITSAT counselling process, the candidates will be able to apply for admissions into the three campuses of BITS - Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad.
