IIT Delhi review as a 1st year student.
Placements: Placements are really good even during period of recession. Many companies come here to recruit some of which are the companies who take only 4-5 students from all over India. So placement is really good. Some of the high paying companies for consulting and tech also recruit from here.
Infrastructure: Hostel is not that good at least for UG students because infrastructure is really old and not changed. Course, lecture hall and other facilities are really good. Sports facilities are also up to the date. Wi-Fi is really good.
Faculty: Exams are tough. The faculties are some of the best in the whole country.

Best college in India for engineering for placements for opportunities
Placements: We have a separate department for it that trains students, brings companies for placement and internships, and a lot more. Normally, people get a lot of placements here; many people get crore placements, and internships go for more than 20 to 30 lakhs, no matter. The culture here is also great for coding.
Infrastructure: Hostels are not that good; except for that, everything is fantastic on the campus. I think the infrastructure is not that great; I mean for the hostel. If you go to the cafeteria, it is fantastic; if you go to the library, it is good; and if you go to any hall, everything is fully air-conditioned. But the hostels are quite hot in Delhi, and you cannot survive without a cooler in this summer.
Faculty: The curriculum is hard, but the facilities are great. There are many labs with great experience. If you are getting to Delhi, you have to come here; you should not miss it. You have very great opportunities even after higher studies, whether it is an MBA, B.Tech, and many more. Here, even a placement of 18 lakhs seems to be low because you are among the greatest brains in the country.
Other: If you get it, don't go anywhere.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the course curriculum of mathematics and computing department at IIT D.
Placements: The highest package would be around 2 CR, which is PPO. And the lowest, I would say, CTC is 8 lpa. I'm in the mathematics and computing branch at IIT Delhi, so I would say that till the 4th day, almost 50% were placed and till the 10th, 75%. As per the recession, it's quite okay for me. But in normal situations, it could have been way better. Top companies like Graviton, NVidia, Google, Microsoft and many more. The top two roles were software and data analysts.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in my department are quite good, as per need. We have proper classes in the lecture hall and have Wi-Fi access at all locations on campus. Also, library hours are nice. And we have 24*7 access to the library at times of examination. Mess food quality is okay, not worse and not good. I'm in the Himadri Hostel. The canteen is okay too and medical facilities are also okay. The same goes for sports and games.
Faculty: Average teaching quality was very nice and some professors connected really well with us and conveyed concepts but we have some not-so-good professors too who aren't interested in average students and focused only on tips, which is not quite a good strategy. The course curriculum for my branch could be made more structured and flexible. Semester exams are difficult; it depends on the professor taking the course but overall, if you have prepared for the whole semester, it's easy and if you only do them two days before exams, it's going to be tough.
Other: I wanted to be in only the top IITs, so I took the most valuable branch I could get, which is mathematics and computing, at IIT Delhi. The best thing is that you are going to get placed even if you are putting in very little effort. To be improved would be its curriculum and the way of teaching. Extracurricular activities were excellent at IIT Delhi, but they have declined in recent years.

IIT Delhi is the dream college of many.
Placements: Almost all the students opting for placements got placed in my course. The highest package offered was 1 crore, and the lowest was 10 LPA. And the average package was 30 LPA. Jane Street and Quadeye are some of the top recruiters. Almost all of the students got an internship.
Infrastructure: The department has all the facilities, like 24*7 Wi-Fi, air conditioning, good classrooms and a central library as well. The quality of the facilities in the hostel is decent. The food available in the mess and canteen is good and has a good variety. There are many sports available as well. All equipment is made available to the students.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers were qualified, helpful and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was very good. Yes, the curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are not that difficult. They're moderate and almost all of the students pass the course.

IIT Delhi is a nice college. My advice will be not to take mathematics and computing.
Placements: I think 80% of the batches were placed during the first phase. The highest package offer in MNC is INR 75 lacs; the lowest can go below INR 5–9 lacs pa too; and the average package is around INR 10–12 lacs pa. The top recruiting companies are Gravity, Sprinkler, and World Quant. I think 95% students got internships by the end of phase 2. Roles offered are SDE, finance, HFT, and consulting.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available 24/7, but there is a specific limit. As students, we are allowed to use 4000 MB per week. Labs and classes are also well maintained. Also, the library is the best place to study except during exam time because there is a high chance that you will not get a seat. As compared to other departments, the mathematics department is still under construction; it doesn't have its own building; it is in the main building itself. The labs are well maintained and are in LHC. The hostel is well maintained but unlike boys hostels in girls hostels, by the end of the 3rd year, you don't have the privilege to get a single room. Personally, my roommate is very annoying. And I don't have another option. The quality of the food is okay, like you can get very good food at the same cost from outside but you don't have that option, so you take non-messing. IIT hospitals are also well maintained. The canteen is also nice. IIT provides a diverse field of sports like basketball, football, athletics, swimming, and squash.
Faculty: Mathematics and Computing (MNC) suicidal branch: this semester, 2 students committed suicide from MNC. Some professors are very nice, while others are like, I don't even have words to say but you would not want to take their courses. If you get MNC, then you will come to know the name of these proofs; otherwise, overall, teachers are very knowledgeable. MNC is the toughest branch. This course content is beneficial to only those who want to go for higher studies or teaching; otherwise, there is no use of course content. There are some courses that are relevant for your placement, like data mining, Probability and statistics, while the rest are of no use. No, it doesn't make the student industry ready. The semester is very difficult; you will even suffer to pass the course. 30% is the passing criteria.
Other: I chose the course because mathematics is my strongest subject. But after coming, I realized the course I think of is totally opposite; its not like your JEE math, which is far worse than that. If I talk about improving the course lenient checking or doable question paper forming,. There are many events, like Rendezvous, Tryst, Becon, vibhinn and many more. Extracurricular activities involve NSS activities. There are many scholarship for iitian like after every semester you will be provided scholarship if you are in 15% of whole population, also scholarship for whose parents income less than 5 Lacs and 9 Lacs, meritorious student from branch and parents income less, given on basis of JEE rank, scholarship for female student from Delhi NCR, Bihar, Tamil Nadu.

Based on ratings and reviews from current and former students, IIT Delhi is considered to have better hostel facilities and amenities compared to IIT Bombay. The hostels at IIT Delhi are known for their cleanliness, spacious rooms, and well-maintained common areas. The campus also has various sports facilities, gymnasiums, and recreation rooms, which are highly appreciated by the students. In comparison, while the hostels at IIT Bombay are also considered to be of good quality, they are often criticized for being too congested and having inadequate facilities. However, the campus does have a good range of amenities including a sports complex, swimming pool, and student activity center.
