The preliminary exam for IBPS Clerk comprises English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The total marks for the test are 100. Candidates are required to qualify in each of the three tests by securing the cut off marks. On the basis of IBPS Clerk result prelims, an adequate number of candidates in each category are called for the mains exam. The preliminary exam is qualifying in nature. The marks obtained in the preliminary exam are not counted for the final merit list.

IBPS Clerk Mains Result

IBPS Clerk Mains Result 2024 PDF includes the roll numbers and names of the selected candidates. Marks obtained in the mains exam are considered for final selection. Candidates selected through IBPS Clerk CRP XI exam are recruited to the post of Clerks in any of the 11 public sector banks across the country. In the event of two or more candidates having obtained the same score, merit order is decided as per date of birth (the candidate senior in age is placed before the candidate junior in age), as per the prevailing practice. The scores of candidates are calculated in the following manner:

  • The number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the corrected score after applying the penalty for the wrong answer.
  • The corrected scores obtained by candidates are made equivalent to adjust the differences in the difficulty level since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts to arrive at the equated scores

  • Candidates belonging to the reserved category, selected on the basis of norms as applicable to the General Category will be treated at par with a General category candidate. However, their original category as registered in the online registration will remain unchanged

The marks obtained in the prelims exam are not counted for the merit list. The marks obtained in the mains exam are counted for the merit list. The prelims and mains exams are conducted online. The selection process is carried out by IBPS. However, joining letters and verification of eligibility is done by the participating banks.
