A:

There is no difference between IBPS Clerk and SBI Clerk exam pattern. The level of both exams is the same. The pattern of both the exams is divided into prelims and Mains. The prelims exam carries three sections-English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The total marks allotted to the prelims exam are 100. The duration of the test is 60 minutes. The mains exam comprises four sections-General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, and Quantitative Aptitude. The total marks allotted to the mains exam are 200. The duration of the test is 160 minutes. There is a difference in the difficulty levels. SBI Clerk exam is tougher than IBPS Clerk.

Adarsh said, “In GA, maximum questions were asked from the events that took place in August. There were questions based on new Income Tax regime. In English, questions were asked from RC, Spotting error, etc. The level of the paper was same as last year.”

Vijay said, “Mostly questions in the GA were asked from the events that took place in the month of August. Questions were asked from RBI policies and the overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate. There were two passages in English. There were no questions from Vocab. In Maths, there were 6 simplification questions, number system, DI, etc. In Reasoning, questions were asked from puzzles, seating arrangement, etc.

In the Quantitative Aptitude section of IBPS Clerk candidates need to focus on Simplification, Number Systems, Ratio and Proportion, Profit and Loss, Simple and Compound Interest, Sequence and Series etc. In the prelims exam, a total of 35 questions are asked and carries 35 marks. In the Mains exam, a total of 50 questions are asked and carries 50 marks. To solve the questions in the Quant section easily, candidates must learn the shortcut trick and memorise the theorems.
