The IBPO releases an official notification every year to mark the commencement of the IBPS PO exam process. The candidates should note that the Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection released the official IBPS PO notification 2024 on August 1, 2024. Along with the notification, the IBPS PO applications were also started. The last date to apply for the IBPS PO exam was August 28, 2024. The IBPS released the IBPS PO admit card 2024 on October 11, 2024.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2024

The exam pattern of IBPS PO is divided into preliminary exam, mains exam, and interview. The exam pattern for each stage is given below:

Prelims exam: The test comprises three sections, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. There are a total of 100 questions. The total marks for the test are 100. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes.

Mains exam: The mains exam comprises both objective and descriptive tests. The objective test comprises questions from Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language, and Data Analysis & Interpretation. The Descriptive Test comprises English Language (Letter Writing & Essay). There are a total of 157 questions (Objective 155 + 2 Descriptive). The total marks allotted for the test are 225. The duration of the exam is 3 hours 30 minutes.

Interview: The interview is conducted for 100 marks. The test is conducted to assess the personality of candidates.

What is IBPS PO Marking Scheme?

The marking scheme of IBPS PO is decided by the examination authority. As per the marking scheme, one mark is awarded for correct answers. For wrong answers, 0.25 marks are deducted. The total marks of IBPS PO are calculated based on the correct and incorrect answers.

The basic salary after 7 Years is INR 30,560. Also, the basic IBPS PO salary after 7 + 2 Years is INR 32,850 and the basic salary after 7 + 2 + 7 Years is INR 42,020. (as per the 10th Bipartite settlement). The basic IBPS PO salary is INR 36,000. Besides, candidates get other allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), and Special Allowances are also there.

IBPS PO Selection Process

IBPS PO selection process comprises prelims, mains and interview. All the registered candidates need to appear for the prelims. The exam pattern of prelims comprises three sections. Total marks allotted to the test are 100. Candidates qualifying the prelims exam are called for the mains exam. The mains exam carries both objective and descriptive-type tests. Total marks allotted to the mains exam are 225. The marks obtained in the mains exam are considered to select candidates for the interview. The interview carries 100 marks.
