The exam pattern of IBPS PO is divided into preliminary exam, mains exam, and interview. The exam pattern for each stage is given below:
Prelims exam: The test comprises three sections, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. There are a total of 100 questions. The total marks for the test are 100. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes.
Mains exam: The mains exam comprises both objective and descriptive tests. The objective test comprises questions from Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language, and Data Analysis & Interpretation. The Descriptive Test comprises English Language (Letter Writing & Essay). There are a total of 157 questions (Objective 155 + 2 Descriptive). The total marks allotted for the test are 225.
