RRB Group D Application Form 2024: Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) will release RRB Group D 2024 application form on January 23, 2025. The link to fill the application form will be released on the official website. The link to fill the application form is available till February 22, 2025. The direct link to fill the application form of RRB Group D 2024 will be provided on this page. Candidates must read the RRB Group D notification 2024 before applying for the exam.

The application fee for RRB Group D 2024 exam is INR 500 (for all candidates except the fee concession categories). The fee for PwBD/Female /Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen/SC/ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class is INR 250. The application fee is refunded after appearing in the CBT exam. The facility to check RRB Group D application form status and correction window is made available after the completion of the application process. Q:   When will RRB Group D application form 2024 be released?

RRB Group D application form 2024 will be released on January 23, 2025 by the Railway Recruitment Boards. RRB Group D application form should be filled online only. The application fee is INR 500 (for all candidates except the fee concession categories). The fee for PwBD/Female /Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen/SC/ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class is INR 250. Candidates can pay the fee both online and offline. Q:   What is RRB Group D eligibility?

A:
The minimum education qualification for candidates applying to the technical departments that is Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical and Signal & Telecom departments) and catering wing of Railways will be Class 10 pass plus National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by National Council for Vocational Training or Class 10 pass plus ITI. The revised eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification is applicable for all future recruitments notified after June 15, 2019 in Level-1 posts. Earlier, NAC or ITI was not mandatory to apply for RRB Group D 2022 exam. RRB Group D age limit is 18 to 33 years.

RRB Group D application form is released for the post of Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant in various technical departments (Electrical, Mechanical and S&T departments), Pointsman and other Level-I posts. RRB Group D Application Form 2024

RRB Group D application form is released online by the examination authority. There is no facility to submit the application form offline. The hard copy of the application form is not required to be sent by post. Candidates can pay the application form online and offline. After candidates appear in the CBT, the application fee is refunded to candidates. Candidates belonging to SC / ST/ ExSM/ PwBD/ Female/ Minority/EBC/Transgender categories are entitled to a full refund of their examination fees, INR 250. Candidates belonging to the General/EWS/OBC categories receive a partial refund of their examination fees, INR 400 after deducting the bank charges. 

Q:   How to check RRB Group D application status?

A:

To check the application status, candidates are required to login with user ID and password. The application status of candidates displays whether their applications are accepted or rejected for the recruitment exam. Candidates whose applications are accepted by the examination authority are issued admit card. Before applying for RRB Group D exam, candidates should satisfy themselves that they fulfill all the eligibility norms including age, educational qualification(s) and medical standards. Candidates should ensure that they have requisite qualifications from recognized Board/Institute as on the date of  closure of online registration. Those awaiting results of the final examination for the prescribed qualification are not eligible and hence should not apply.

Q:   What if candidates submit more than one RRB Group D application form?

Candidates are required to submit only one RRB Group D application form to the selected railway. They can apply for only one railway. Application to more than one railway is rejected. How to fill RRB Group D application form 2024?

The steps to fill RRB Group D application form are given below:

  • Candidates could apply for the notified posts at any one of the railways through online mode
  • Read all the information and instructions thoroughly before filling the application form
  • Scanned documents in JPEG Format to be kept ready before filling the application

  • Check railway-wise vacancies for the qualification and reservation category of the candidates
  • Select the railway to which candidates wish to apply
  • Click on the ‘New Registration’ link
  • Register for the exam by submitting details such as name, date of birth and father’s name, mother’s name, Aadhaar Number, SSLC/Matric registration number, year of passing, mobile number, email ID, and then submit the registration form
  • Upon registration, candidates need to verify email ID and mobile number through OTP
  • Candidates could proceed with the online application by clicking on the ‘Already Registered’ button on the home page using the registration number and password
  • In Part I of the application page, candidates had to provide the details of educational qualification, community, gender, religion, Ex-Servicemen, CCAA, Minority, Economically Backward Class and Age Relaxation and other details
  • In Part II of the application page, candidates had to indicate his/her priority/preference of the posts
  • On completion of application details, candidates were redirected to the payment page using Online Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/UPI and Offline Challan
  • Candidates were required to choose the exam language
  • Candidates had to fill the details of a valid photo ID card
  • Enter bank details to get the refund of fees
  • Candidates had to upload their scanned images of photograph and signature as per the format

Q:   What is the educational qualification required for RRB Group D exam?

A:

For the RRB Group D exam, the age of candidates should be between 18 and 33 years. Candidates must have completed Class 10 from an Institution recognised by NCVT/SCVT or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT to apply for the exam. RRBs activate the modification link for candidates whose applications are rejected due to invalid photographs and signatures. RRB Group D 2024 Application Form Status

The window to check the RRB Group D application form status is activated after the application process closes. To check the application status of RRB Group D, candidates need to enter registration number/date of birth and security code. Through RRB Group D application status, candidates can view the eligibility/ineligibility status of their applications. RRBs also activated the RRB Group D application form and forgot registration number link for CBT. If candidates forget their registration numbers, can retrieve them through the link activated by RRBs. To access the RRB candidate login forget registration number, candidates need to enter name, candidate name, date of birth, email ID/Aadhaar number, and security code. RRB Group D application form of candidates might be rejected for the following reasons:

  • Application forms might be rejected due to invalid photos on account of Black and White photos, photos with cap or wearing Goggles. Photos that are disfigured, small size, full-body, showing only one side view of the face, unrecognizable photos, photocopy of the photo, group photo, selfie photo, photo taken by mobile, morphed photos and online applications without photos among others
  • Signature in capital/block letters
  • Not satisfying the prescribed qualification for the post
  • Over-aged or under-aged or Date of Birth wrongly filled
  • Multiple applications to different Railway zones or to the same Railway zone. In such case, all applications will be rejected and such candidates will be debarred from future RRB/RRC exams
  • Candidate's name figuring in the debarred list of any RRB / RRC
  • Incomplete or incorrectly filled application or any other irregularities which are observed and considered as invalid by RRB

Q:   How much application fees is refunded for RRB Group D exam?

A:

Candidates who appear in the CBT exam are refunded their application fees. Candidates belonging to SC / ST/ ExSM/ PwBD/ Female/ Minority/EBC/Transgender categories will be entitled to get a full refund of their examination fees, which is INR 250. Whereas candidates belonging to General/EWS/OBC categories receive a partial refund of their examination fees, which is INR 400 after deducting the bank charges. RRB Group D 2024 Application Form Correction Window

The process to edit RRB Group D application form 2024 is given below:

  • After final submission of online RRB Group D application form, candidates can edit it online. Correction of data other than railway, email, and mobile number can be done by paying the modification fee of INR 100. Q:   What is RRB Group D selection process?

A:
RRB Group D selection process comprises CBT, PET/PST, document verification and medical exam. The transgender candidates are given relaxation in the PET. CCAAs trained in railway establishment are given due weightage of marks obtained in their NCVT exam in preparation of final merit list after the conduct of CBT. Based on the performance of candidates in CBT subject to their qualifying in PER, candidates are called for document verification as per their merit and options. In case of two or more candidates secure same marks, their merit position is determined by age criteria i.e., older person is placed at higher merit and in case age is same, then alphabetical order (A to Z) of the name is taken into account to break the tie. Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing requisite Medical Fitness Test conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and community certificates and verification of antecedents/character of the candidates. All candidates clearing the DV are called for medical exam. RRBs/RRCs only recommend names of the empanelled candidates and appointment is offered only by the respective Railway Administrations.

Candidates are allowed to modify all details except the chosen railway, email ID, and mobile number even after the submission of RRB Group D application form by paying the modification fee. Q:   How the empanelling of candidates is done in RRB Group D exam?

A:

Empanelling of candidates in RRB Group D exam is done based on their performance in CBT, subject to their qualifying in PET. The appointment is offered to selected candidates provided they qualify the requisite medical fitness test and document verification. In case two or more candidates secure the same marks, their merit position is determined by the age criteria. The letter of appointment is issued by the Railway Administrations. Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and community certificates and verification of antecedents/character of the candidates. It may also be noted that all candidates successful in DV are sent for Medical Examination. Clearing of such Medical Examination by additional candidates (those called for DV beyond the notified number of vacancies) will give such candidates no right to be considered for appointment. Candidates may note that RRBs/RRCs only recommend names of the empanelled candidates and appointment is offered only by the respective Railway Administrations.

The educational qualification prescribed for the exam is Class 10 pass plus National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by National Council for Vocational Training or Class 10 pass plus ITI. Q:   Can a 12th pass apply for RRB Group D?

As per the minimum academic qualification, candidates who wish to apply for the RRB Group D exam must have qualified 10+2 while the age limit required for the exam is 18 to 30 years. Candidates must adhere to the eligibility criteria prescribed for the exam. Candidates not following the eligibility criteria are rejected from the recruitment process.

Q:   My age is 36 years. Can I prepare for Railways Group D?

A:
You are not eligible to apply for the upcoming RRB Group D exam cycle. This is due to the age criteria of the RRB for the Group D exam. The age limit for the Indian Railways Group D exam is 33 years. The educational requirement states that applicants must hold a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) or have completed the equivalent of grade 10 or higher. Q:   What is the physical efficiency test in the RRB Group D exam?

Once candidates qualify for the computer-based tests of RRB Group D exam, then they are called for Physical Efficiency. Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory, and it is qualifying in nature. In PET, the male candidates should be to lift and carry 35 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down and should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance. In PET, the female candidates should be able to lift and carry 20 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down and should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.
