Change in SNAP Exam Pattern. What it means for test-takers?
For the test-takers nothing changes as far as SNAP exam preparation is concerned. What they need to focus on now is exam-day preparation i.e. how to approach the SNAP question paper. They may have been practicing SNAP mock tests designed on the basis of last year’s question paper ( 120 minutes, 110 questions) but in SNAP 2020 they will have to negotiate 60 questions in 60 minutes.
If you look at the revised exam pattern, handling the SNAP 2020 question paper will be most likely easier as there will be no Special Questions. Also, since SNAP has done away with differential marking, you won’t have the pressure of not skipping or getting more A-LR or English questions correct (the two sections carried 1.5 marks per MCQ before as opposed to QA, DI-DS which carried 1 mark per MCQ).
Now that the marks allotted to every question is same, you can strategise well on which question to attempt or skip without worrying for that extra 0.5 marks.
