Q:   What is the SNAP cut off for candidate belonging to Reserved category?

A:

The SNAP cut-off for Reserved category students varies from institute to institute, but it is lower than that of General category candidates in all B-schools. For Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Pune, the SNAP cut-off for reserved category candidates last year was: SC : 73.0880 ST: 38.8921 DA: 46.5174 KM: 87.9513. Candidates belonging to Reserved categories, having this much score are eligible for the Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interview (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT) round which is conducted for MBA admission. Candidates have to clear this round to get admission.

As far as scholarship is concerned, top 20 overall scorers get a rebate of Rs 5 lakh in the course fee ( as per last year). Also, there is scholarship for girl students and students from IITs and NITs who join SIBM Pune.

Q:   When will SNAP 2024 cut off be announced?

A:

The date of SNAP cut off announcement is never communicated by the Symbiosis International (Deemed) University, as the selection process is conducted by the constituent institutes individually. However, it has been seen over the years that the SNAP cut off are released about a week after exam result declaration. The SNAP cut offs are available through login at the websites of SIU institutes as candidates who pass the SNAP exam, have to fill the personal interview form based on their score and college cut off. The SNAP cut off usually ranges between 55-98 percentile. The cut offs for SIMB Pune is the highest every year and the cut offs for SIHS Pune is the lowest.

Q:   What is SNAP cutoff for SCIT Pune?

A:

SCIT Pune cutoff for the two MBA courses is based on SNAP scores. SNAP scores are accepted by the 15 Symbiosis colleges. It is mandatory for candidates to meet the cutoff in order to be eligible for the further round of admissions. SCIT is one of the 15 Symbiosis colleges that accept SNAP scores for MBA admission.

The expected SNAP cutoff percentile for the SIBM Pune MBA admission is around 97-98.5 percentile, while for other colleges, it may be lower than 98 percentile.

Q:   My SNAP percentile is 94, and I had given the interview at SIBM Hyderabad. The interview was average. Are there any chances of admission?

A:
Based on your SNAP percentile of 94, you have a good chance of getting shortlisted for SIBM Hyderabad. However, admission to SIBM Hyderabad is not solely based on your SNAP score and interview performance. The final admission decision is based on various factors, including academic performance, work experience (if any), extracurricular activities, diversity, and the overall profile of the candidate. So, while your interview performance was average, it is still possible that you may be offered admission based on other factors that the institute considers important. However, it ultimately depends on the cut-off scores and the number of seats available for the course you have applied for. It is best to wait for the final admission decision from SIBM Hyderabad and consider backup options in case you are not offered admission.

Q:   What could be the score vs percentile for this year SNAP?

A:

The score vs percentile for SNAP exam would depend on various factors such as the number of test-takers, the difficulty level of the exam, and the distribution of scores. It is difficult to predict the exact score vs percentile relationship for the upcoming SNAP exam. However, based on the previous year trends, a score of around 60-70 out of 150 may fetch you a percentile of around 80-85. Again, this is just an estimate, and the actual score vs percentile relationship may differ. It is important to note that the SNAP exam is just one of the factors that determine your admission to MBA programs, and the selection criteria of each college may vary. Please upvote if it was helpful.

Q:   What are the chances of getting into SIBM Pune with low academics but a high SNAP percentile?

A:
The students have good chances of getting into SIBM Pune if they score well in the SNAP exam. A high SNAP percentile will indicate your dedication to academics. It will also help to get shortlisted for the interview round at SIBM. To get admission confirmation at SIBM Pune, you also need to score well in the interview round. The SNAP score has a weight of 50 percent in the final merit list, and the Personal Interview has a weight of 30 percent. Therefore, if you scored well in these two rounds, you can be assured of admission to SIBM. You may be asked to justify low academics in the interview, but if you manage to handle this question in the interview, you can score well in this round.

Q:   What are the SNAP cut off determining factors?

A:

SNAP cut offs are determined by each SIU constituent institute independently on the basis of certain factors. The cut offs vary for every SNAP accepting institute. The SNAP cut offs also vary from one year to another. They may be higher or lower in the next year as compared to past year cut offs. The main criteria on the basis of which the SNAP cut offs are determined include the following:

  • Number of candidates who appeared in the SNAP exam
  • Difficulty level of the SNAP exam
  • Number of candidates who qualified the SNAP exam
  • Pass percentage in the exam
  • High percentile range in the exam
  • Number of seats available in the programmes

Q:   What are the chances with 60 percentile in SNAP of admission in MBA hospital and healthcare management?

A:

The MBA hospital and healthcare management course is offered by Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences Pune and its cut off is usually around 58-60 so yes, you have the chances of getting admission. However, now you can seek admission in 2024 session only by appearing in SNAP 2023 exam.

SNAP cut off for SIBM Pune admission is usually around 97-98.5 percentile. SNAP cut offs will be released by all 15 Symbiosis International (Deemed) University (SIU) institutes individually for admission to their respective MBA programmes in the first week of February 2024. The cut offs will be determined on the basis of number of test takers, difficulty level, average score, numebr of seat, etc. The SNAP exam will be held in December 2023 and the result will be announced in January 2024. The SNAP cutoffs will be announced in February 24. Candidates who will meet the SNAP 2023 cut offs will be considered for Group Exercise (GE), Written Ability Test (What) and Personal Interview PI round of MBA Admission 2024-25 batch.
