While some candidates score high in the exam, others may not have performed as expected. Irrespective of both scenarios, candidates who took the TANCET exam must be hopeful and check what they need to focus on after the result declaration. This article of Shiksha brings the way forward after the announcement of the TANCET 2025 result.
Q: When will Anna University release TANCET results?
Q: What is the difference between TANCET results and TANCET scorecard?
TANCET results will host the actual score of the candidate so that he/she can analyse the individual performance. Whereas, TANCET scorecard will not have actual score. With percentile score in the TANCET scorecard, candidates will be able to display his/her relative performance. This would help in evaluating performance of the candidate in comparison to the other test takers.
Typically, Anna University releases the TANCET scorecard a week after the declaration of the TANCET results. Candidates need to download the TANCET scorecard to participate in the further admission processes; however, TANCET results need not be saved for future references.
Q: What factors are taken into consideration for the normalization of marks in TANCET?
TANCET 2025 Result – Way Forward
Download the scorecard and preserve it: The TANCET 2025 scorecard is available for download within a specified timeline. Candidates must download the mark sheet, take printouts, and preserve it properly until the admission process is complete.
Keep an eye on the counselling schedule: The TANCET 2025 counselling process is likely to commence in the month of June. Test takers must keep track of the official website to get an update on the counselling registration, document verification, seat allotment process, and dates.
Keep documents ready for verification: Ideally, candidates should keep the documents ready for verification purposes in counselling. The documents that are verified during the counselling process are as follows:
Q: How is TANCET rank allotted in case of a tie?
Q: How to check TANCET result if I have forgotten the password?
Q: Will Anna University release TANCET result and CEETA PG result on the same day?
TANCET 2023 exam for MBA and MCA courses was conducted on March 25, whereas CEETA PG 2023 was conducted on March 26. However, the results were released using a common login window on the same day. Similar to the previous exam sessions, Anna University will declare the results for all professional courses via a single login portal. The official website will host the login window to check the scores of TANCET and CEETA PG. Candidates need to enter the login credentials, including the email ID and password to check the TANCET results.
Q: How can I download my TANCET scorecard after the deadline?

Participate in the counselling process: Once the counselling process is announced, candidates should note the date, time and venue for counselling and must participate in the process on the slated schedule and venue. They must note that they have to report to the venue on the given schedule only and request to change the schedule will not be approved by the counselling authorities. Hence, they must first register and then participate in the process to ensure getting a seat at a TANCET participating college.
Check previous years’ cut-off: Candidates can estimate the college they may get admission to, by checking the previous years’ TANCET cut off. By checking the cut-off, they can be sure whether they are eligible to take admission to their dream institutes. They can then prepare for admission accordingly so that admission is not delayed.
Take admission: Once the seat allotment order is released, candidates must check their seat allotment and take admission at the earliest by paying the requisite fee and completing other admission formalities within the deadline to avoid missing the admission opportunity.
Candidates should also have some backup plan ready, such as applying to private B-schools and participating in the GD-PI process to get admission. In case their TANCET score is less, they may also appear for other MBA entrance exams and plan their admission accordingly.
