TISSNET 2023 merit list cutoff has been released. Earlier, TISSNET 2023 cut off was released by the authorities along with the declaration of the result. The cutoff for HRM programme (equivalent to MBA) is 63 for General Category, and 60 for the EWS category. Authorities have revised the sectional cutoff for General Awareness based on the TISSNET 2023 answer key review. Last year, the cutoff for HRM was 67 and for Masters in Organisation Development, Change and Leadership it was 63. Candidates who will qualify the cutoff marks will have to appear for the Online Assessment rounds. The overall cutoff will be released by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai on its official website, days after the declaration of the TISSNET 2023 result, which will be declared online. The TISSNET 2023 cut off for the Mumbai campus is expected to vary between 65 to 70 marks. Q:   Does TISS release separate TISSNET cutoff for General Awareness section?

A:
Yes, the Tata Institute of Social Sciences releases a separate cutoff for the General Awareness section of TISSNET exam. Only candidates who meet the TISSNET exam cutoff and General Awareness cutoff are shortlisted for the Online Assessment rounds- Extempore and Online Personal Interview . Sectional cut-off for General Awareness (GA) is applied for qualifying the TISSNET. Candidates not scoring the minimum cut-off mark for the General Awareness as below will not be qualified for TISSNET irrespective of the aggregate score. For TISSNET 2023, the GA cutoff was revised due to a revision in the TISSNET answer key. Basis the deletion and revision of the answer key the revised cutoff for TISSNET 2023 General Awareness was: 1. General, Economically Weaker Section, Kashmir Migrants, and Armed Forces- 12 2. PwD and OBC (Non-Creamy layer)- 11 3. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe- No cutoff.

TISS releases the TISSNET cutoff along with the declaration of results online. Candidates can check the TISSNET cutoff for the programmes they have applied for. TISSNET 2023 result along with the cutoff was released on March 23, 2023 at admissions. Tiss. Edu. The TISSNET score card mentions the candidate's section wise, overall score and cutoff score to qualify the exam. The TISSNET cutoff is released for General Awareness and overall. After the release of the TISSNET 2023 cut off list, qualified students will be required to participate in online assessments. Notably, TISS has changed the selection process for the 2022-23 academic session.

TISS admission process for MA, HRM & LR, MA ODCL (Not Applicable for 2023-24)

Candidates applying for MA Human Resource Management & Labour Relations (HRM &LR) and MA Organisation Development, Change and Leadership (ODCL) programmes at Mumbai Campus were required to appear for a Management Aptitude Test (TISS-MAT) conducted along with the TISSNET exam. The score of TISSMAT, PIT and Interview will be aggregated in 30:40:30.

Q:   When will TISS admission process begin?

A:

Tata Institute of Social Sciences conducts the TISSNET selection process soon after the declaration of results. The TISSNET admission process for the 2024-25 session will commence in second week of April 2024. Candidates who will appear for the TISSNET exam and qualify the cutoff criteria will be shortlisted for the TISS Online Assessment rounds. The Online Assessment of TISS consists of Personal Interviews and Extempore rounds. To appear for the OA rounds, shortlisted candidates must compulsorily fill the Detail Application Form (DAF) on or before the prescribed last date. On the basis of the applications received, candidates are assigned the date on which they have to appear for the OA rounds. The OA rounds are conducted in online mode via the Zoom application. It is conducted for a duration of 20-30 minutes by the three-panel members. The aim of OA rounds is to assess the candidate's interest in the selected programme. The final selection is then based on the candidate's performance in the TISSNET exam (50%) and Online Assessments (Extempore (20%) and PI (30%). .

Q:   What is DAF in TISSNET? When and how can I fill it?

DAF or Detail Application Form is filled by the candidates who are shortlisted for the TISSNET selection process- Online Assessments. Candidates meeting the cutoff criteria for the programme applied will have to fill the DAF when released. Authorities will release the TISS Detail Application Form for TISSNET 2024 in last week week of March 2024 soon after the declaration of results. Shortlisted candidates will be able to fill the DAF online. To fill the DAF candidates are required to visit the official website and click on the link provided. Q:   What is the process after TISSNET result declaration?

A:
After the declaration of TISSNET result, the institute shortlists the candidates on the basis of the cutoff released. Candidates who qualify the cutoff criteria will have to fill the Detail Application Form to appear for the Online Assessment rounds- Extempore and Online Personal Interview . In DAF, candidates will be required to enter the personal, academic and professional details along with the reasons to pursue the course. Depending upon the DAF received, candidates are assigned the Online Assessment dates and have to appear for the selection process via Zoom application. The online assessment rounds are conducted in April-May. On the basis of the candidate's overall performance, they are shortlisted for the final admission to TISS campus.

The TISSNET cutoff for MA in Human Resource Management for various categories varies every year. The cutoff for TISSNET is released on the basis of number of seats, the number of candidates who appeared for the exam, category and difficulty level of the exam. Q:   Can I request a re-evaluation of TISSNET result?

A:
Candidates who have appeared for the TISSNET exam will not be able to apply for the score re-evaluation. TISS releases the TISSNET question paper and answer key soon after the exam is conducted. On the basis of the challenges received, final answer key along with the TISSNET result and candidate's response sheet is released. Candidates will not be able to apply for re-evaluation of marks soon after the declaration of results. TISSNET score is an aggregation of marks score with every correct answer. There is no provision for negative marking in TISSNET exam.
