NEET Counselling Registration 2021 to Start Soon

NEET counselling registration 2021 is about to start anytime soon. The official website of NEET 2021 counselling, managed by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has been updated with the information that the NEET 2021 counselling dates and information bulletin will be available soon. As per the tentative schedule, the NEET counselling registration 2021 will start in the third week of November. This article of Shiksha brings to the readers detailed information about the NEET 2021 counselling registration process.

Who is Eligible for NEET 2021 Counselling Registration?

Candidates who would qualify for NEET 2021 would be primarily eligible to participate in the NEET counselling 2021 process. The other eligibility criteria for NEET counselling registration 2021 are as follows:

  • They must be registered on the official website of MCC

  • All candidates, including candidates from the UT of J&K, can participate in the counselling for AIQ seats and deemed universities

  • They must be in possession of all the requisite documents for the NEET counselling processes

NEET Counselling Registration 2021 Process

The registration process for the NEET counselling 2021 are as follows:

  • Candidates have to visit the official website of MCC – mcc.nic.in

  • Click on the tab indicating NEET UG Counselling followed by the ‘Registration’ tab

  • Enter details such as name, registration number, personal details, academic details and the details mentioned on their NEET result

  • Pay the NEET 2021 registration fee through debit/credit card/net banking/UPI modes

NEET 2021 Counselling Process - Choice Filling Round

In the NEET counselling process, choice filling refers to selecting their choice of medical college and seats as per candidates’ category and seat criteria. Here are some details regarding the choice filling process.

  • After completing the registration process, the candidates need to fill in the choices by logging into the registered account on the MCC portal

  • They need to choose the course/ college in the desired order of preference

  • They can fill in any number of choices from the list provided

  • Candidates can add/delete a choice

  • They can also move up/ move down a choice as per their preference

  • After filling in the choices, they must save a copy of the choices filled for future reference

The next step of counselling is the release of the Seat Allotment Order by MCC, which has to be downloaded by candidates. After that, they have to accept or withdraw the seat offer to move forward.

The counselling for the All India Quota seats will be conducted in two rounds. The seats left vacant after the first round will be carried forward to the second round. However, the seats left vacant after the second round of NEET counselling 2021 will be transferred to the respective state quota. The seats left vacant in the AIQ quota of Deemed Universities/ Central Universities/ ESIC colleges will be filled through a mop-up round of NEET 2021 counselling. The remaining seats (if any) will be filled in the institutional round/stray round of NEET counselling.
