Homoeopathy is an alternative or supplementary medicine. The course will cover the fundamentals of employing homoeopathic medicines for acute diseases, including vomiting, ear infections, gastrointestinal problems, colds, flu, and coughs, among others. BHMS stands for Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery). It is both an undergraduate degree program and a diploma program in the medical area. After finishing this degree, you will be qualified to practise homoeopathy as a doctor. A candidate who has completed 10+2 Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and English can enrol in the five and a half year long bachelor's program. Entrance exams are administered at the state and national levels to determine admission.

Scope in India

It is a common misconception in Indian educational circles that homoeopathy does not lead to a successful career. In reality, both in India and overseas, this industry has numerous work prospects. At several Private Homoeopathic Hospitals, an educated homoeopathic practitioner might work as a Medical Officer/Doctor. Aside from that, professionals might establish their practice or open homoeopathic medicine stores. Homoeopathic physicians can work in a variety of enterprises that produce homoeopathic remedies. These doctors can pursue successful careers as professors at homoeopathic institutions or as a researcher. A BHMS degree holder can potentially establish his pharmacy after a few years of practice.

Embryology

Students should be taught embryology in-depth so that they may comprehend how human development takes place. As a result, they can link illness pathways, disease progression in the body, their relationship with three chronic miasms, and our body's hemodynamics.

Principles of Homoeopathic Philosophy

Students will study the fundamentals of homoeopathic philosophy in this class. What are the main principles, and how many of them are there?

The Law of Similars is a rule that states that if two things are similar.

Psychology

Psychological symptoms frequently play a key role in selecting the suitable medicine, as students will discover in this Psychology topic. Trying to figure out if a person's mental condition contributed to his physical illness or the other way around is seldom valuable for finding the proper homoeopathic treatment.

Biochemistry

Biochemistry is a branch of science that studies the chemical foundations of life. It gives you a thorough understanding of the function and structure of many molecular and cellular components in the human body. Biochemistry investigates biomolecules' structures, functions, and interactions such as proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates, and lipids.

The chemical basis of life, general metabolism, intermediate metabolism, clinical and applied biochemistry, nutrition, environmental biochemistry, molecular biology, endocrinology, and advanced biochemistry are all covered in this biochemistry course.

Materia Medica

Materia Medica is a key topic given to all Venkateswara Homoeopathic Medical College students from their first to their last year of BHMS.

Specialisations offered in Homoeopathy

Homoeopathy is a medical approach founded on the idea that the human body can heal itself. Tiny quantities of natural ingredients, like plants and minerals, are used by those who practise it. They feel that they help to speed up the healing process. Among the numerous systems of medicine, homoeopathy has carved out a space for itself. The Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery, or BHMS, is a homoeopathic graduate degree program that includes all aspects of homoeopathy. Students who complete this degree are qualified to practise homoeopathy as physicians.
