The subject of Cardiac Technology deals mostly with the technical aspects of the human cardiovascular system. The people who specialise in the field of Cardiac Technology are known as Cardiovascular Technologists. The main job of these technologists is to assist the physician using their knowledge of technology in invasive procedures. Other than this, Cardiovascular Technologists also play an important role in ensuring the fulfilment of the cardiac parameters of a patient and many more. Cardiac Technology is available as a full-time B.Sc or Bachelor of Science course. It is pursued at an undergraduate level (three years). Thus, the subject Communication Skills and Personality Development deals with important aspects that would help a candidate build a good personality and help them improve their communication skills. The minimum eligibility to appear for the written examination is that candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination. AIIMS: It is a national-level exam that is conducted once a year. Many colleges accept the score of the AIIMS examination for admission into their college. It is a 3.5-hours exam with only 1207 seats available. The AIIMS syllabus focuses on science topics such as energy, measurement, oscillations, and others in Physics; thermodynamics, organic chemistry, and others in Chemistry; and living organisms, biotechnology, and others in Biology. It also includes general culture, such as current affairs, major corporate events, etc. The difficulty level is high and the questions asked in the exam are considered complex.

NEET: NEET is another important exam conducted by the authorities of AIIMS. It is also conducted at the national level once a year. The students must give importance to the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology sections to do well in the examination. The difficulty level is high. It tests the base knowledge of students in the field of Science.

SSSUTM: The SSSUTM entrance exam is conducted by the Sri Satya Sai University of Technology and Medical Sciences. The students must give importance to basic Science till the 12th class and cover all the topics listed in the NCERT Science syllabus. However, the difficulty level is moderate as it is a college-specific examination.
Syllabus for Distance Program in Cardiac Technology
The students who are not able to get enrolled in a regular degree program in Cardiac Technology can also opt for a distance learning program. The students who often miss or fail to do well in the entrance examination need not be disheartened. The distance course in cardiac technology covers almost the same syllabus as the regular course.
